Easy to use, and syncs with both smartphone and computer.
I love this home ECG monitor by EMAY. It came securely packaged with a full charge ready to use. I like that it came with 2 printed user manuals, one for the monitor and linking with my cell phone, the other for syncing with my computer where you can also find additional instructions. The app for my smartphone was easy to sync using Bluetooth. The app allows you to download and/or send a full report to your doctor, which I think is a great feature, and I will be using a lot. I like that all of this is free with no extra costs or subscriptions. The monitor is easy to use by following the instruction manual. I was recording my ECGs in just a few minutes. No issues at all once you learn the sequence of using the two buttons for going back and forth between recording an ECG and reviewing it. I recommend using it a little everyday so that it is easier to use when you are stressed. I'm so happy that I spent the few extra dollars for this monitor over the others . It was well worth it. Also, their customer service is very responsive by email in just a few hours. You won't regret purchasing this monitor. Here is an update: The monitor is working great. I use it every day to see how my heart is doing. I spread a tiny amount of electrode gel between my thumbs, and then rub them on the knee sensor, and I get a clear ECG tracing. It has helped me to determine which of my medications was causing my PVCs, and my doctor is working with me now to get off that med. This monitor device has given me so much peace of mind, and saved me a lot of trips to the ER or my doctor.

No subscription needed for all functions
Iโve been using the EMAY 6L ECG Monitor for a while now, and itโs exactly what I was looking forโa simple, reliable way to check my heart rhythm at home without a lot of hassle. The biggest advantage is that this is a true stand-alone device. You donโt need a phone or app just to take a reading. You turn it on, place your thumbs on the sensors, and within about 30 seconds you get a result right on the screen. That makes it incredibly convenient, especially if you just want a quick check without dealing with Bluetooth or apps every time. Ease of use is excellent. There are no wires, no patches, and no learning curve. Itโs basically one-button operation. Even someone who isnโt tech-savvy could use this without any trouble. That said, the phone and computer apps are a nice bonus when you want more detail. You can transfer your readings via Bluetooth or USB, view larger waveforms, store long-term history, and share reports with your doctor if needed. The key point is that the apps are optionalโyouโre not forced to use them and they are free. Storage has also been more than sufficient. The device keeps plenty of recordings, and itโs easy to move them off to a computer if you want to keep a longer record. Another big plus is that thereโs no subscriptions required. Everything works right out of the box, and youโre not locked behind any paywalls to access your own data. Of course, itโs not a full medical diagnostic device, and itโs not meant to replace a doctor or continuous monitoring. But for spot-checking and keeping an eye on things, it does exactly what itโs supposed to do. Overall, if you want a straightforward, stand-alone ECG monitor thatโs easy to use, offers flexible app support, has plenty of storage, and doesnโt require a subscription, with great customer support, this is a great choice.

Accurate, Easy to Use, No Subscription Needed
As someone recently diagnosed with afib, this device brings peace of mind. While my cardiologist has not made traveling off limits, I wanted a portable ECG/EKG device I could take with me and use at home. The device was well packaged, manual is well written and easy to understand, and you can download a free app for your mobile phone and software for your computer. No subscription required. It came fully charged and within a few minutes, I took a reading within 30 seconds. This device will easily fit in a purse or backpack. As it is rechargeable by USB I plan on checking any TSA or airline requirements as where it needs to be stowed. It is smaller than most mobile phones, about 2 inches by 4.5 inches. It does caution usage if you have an implantable device. I appreciate the positive reviews and am very satisfied with this purchase.

Includes detection of PVC's and ST changes
I read the reviews by doctors and decided this device best met my needs for depth of monitoring and quality. The monitor arrived charged and ready to use! I have found the monitor easy to use and hold. When taking a one lead, I do rest my hands on something like a table top or rolled blanket to help steady my hands. The six lead I take lying down with my knee raised up or when sitting. I like being able to take a one lead or a six lead, see the results all within the ECG monitor, save the results on the app and still keep the results on the monitor for a quick reference. The monitor is of sturdy material, small and portable. It is easy to keep by your bedside or carry with you for a quick testing if you're experiencing an event. It will fit in a pocket or purse for travel. I like that it detects additional events like PVC's and ST changes without requiring an additional subscription. The instructions are simple and have photos to help guide you. The EMAY app from the App Store was easy to obtain and use as directed with the provided instructions. The EMAY app allows you to keep separate records for each person using the monitor. It came with the USB to C cord and adapter. This monitor helps me to participate daily with monitoring my health. Thank you!

Worth the money with first reading. no afib; just chest pain from too much weight lifting
Very easy to read results; without plugging into an app device. Much more accurate than the smart watches and no fee to get results as it shows and describes reading instantly. This will save me trips to ER for ekg when not feeling right.

Review on day 1: Great product. Strongly recommed it
Got it today and tried it. First download the free app for my iPhone and with the ECG and phone on connect the two via bluetooth. No problems with the connection at all. Putting the finger and leg on the electrode after one second started to record a very good looking ECG. The screen shows the ECG as it is being recorded and there is a bar at the bottom that shows elapsed time moving left to right for the required 20 seconds for auto interpretation. After it is done, you can go to the phone app and download what was recored into the phone app. The ECG, shows a clear QRS pattern, almost no static or "artifact" unless you move. My P wave is small but but more easily visible if you select the 6L option (there is a button at the top to toggle betwen 1 lead or 6 lead). The app has a control to adjust the gain (amplitude) of the QRS can be increased to better dsiplay small P waves, or reduce tall R's,. And there is a control to adjust the speed, actually spacing between QRS complexes. In the app you can move the tracing along so view more than what is visible on a single shot, So it is not a picture but a continuous roll that you view by moving your finger on the phone screen. This way you can examine a few QRS complexes carefully wihtout a looking a moving line on a monitor. The app also has a control for portrait or landscape mode so you can vew less or more QRS complexes simultaneously on the phone (or iPad). Each recorded ECG is stored in the app and labeled in a list by date and time, rate and interpretation, for viewing any time later. Over all very happy. 5 stars. The unit came fully charged (internal battery) and the instructions say to charge every three months (depending on use). The monitor came with a usb-a to usb-c cable AND a usb-a to usb-c adaptor. It is light, could fit in a shirt pocket but wil stick out at the top. The bottons are soft rubbery, the case is PVC like plastic durable.

Some limitations, but impressive device overall
Iโm very impressed with this device overall, but it has limitations. I took this to the hospital where I work and all the doctors who saw it were very interested in this device and wanted to try it out, so I will include technical ECG details in this review helpful for them as well. No personally identifiable health care information will be included in this review. We did not and would not use this machine on any of our actual patients; this is a home use device for consumers. That said, several of the doctors wanted to know where they could buy one for their own home use, and I directed them to this listing here on Amazon. Any EKG tracings are anonymous examples only and include no personal information. No personal health advice will be given. If youโre worried about your own heart health, make sure you consult with your own doctors about this in a timely manner. ECG and EKG mean the same thing: electrocardiogram. - This is a 3-lead ECG/EKG device that will display a tracing of 6 limb leads: I, II, III, and additionally it displays the calculated leads aVR, aVL, and aVF. The tracings can be displayed clearly on my tablet device by downloading the app. This overall works very well and is easy to use. There is also included software that can be used with a home desktop or laptop computer, but I did not use that. The corresponding leads on a typical 12-lead machine are the Red, Black, and White leads. The Right Leg/Green grounding lead on a 12-lead machine is not needed for this portable device. Touch right and left fingers on the front and touch to your left leg on the back and it works. If you only want a single lead, there is a switch for that, then just a right and left finger on each side of the front of the device will do. - The P waves did not always display very clearly when I tested this several times, often the amplitude was too low and there was frequent artifact. Also some minor general baseline artifact here and there. The greater amplitude QRS complexes displayed better, T waves in-between. ST segments generally displayed clearly. PR segments less reliable. The QRS axis can be easily calculated within about 10 to 15 degrees by anyone who knows how to read the vectors. Most basic rhythms and common arrhythmias can be quickly sorted. - This is not the same quality as a hospital grade EKG and not meant to be, and it shouldnโt be relied upon as a home substitute for that. Anyone worried about a serious heart issue or chest pain should call 911 and go to the nearest hospital with an Emergency Department. - This does clearly display regular and irregular rhythms. If it gives an arrhythmia warning, this should be checked by a qualified medical professional. The lack of P wave clarity can make some atrial arrhythmias difficult to sort, but regular versus irregular can be seen at a glance, and some P waves are more clear, even if lower in amplitude. - Canโt rely on the on-board interpretation software. One EKG clearly showed left axis deviation, others showed non-diagnostic T-wave abnormalities. Another showed voltage criteria for LVH in lead aVL. The machine indicated โNo Abnormalitiesโ in all these. Leave it to trained health care professionals to interpret EKGs. - This does not include chest leads V1 to V6. That isnโt a negative because the device isnโt built for that. As such though, this should not be looked at as a substitute for that. - The carry case is not included, that is an additional purchase, also conveniently available here on Amazon. For a EKG device of this quality, I ordered that as well.

How to get to know your heart better without wires, sticky electrodes, or complex programs!
This is one of the most useful medical devices that I have purchased in the last decade. I have two rare, incurable diseases (a type of cancer and a type of plasma cell dyscrasia) that have immersed me in continuous medical care for over a decade. In that time, I have been exposed to a number of medical devices, including a surgically implanted drug pump and an array of electronic monitors, data loggers, and pain management units. I have needed to school myself on the operation of these devices to get the most benefit and to survive. Among multiple affected body systems, my diseases have seriously damaged my heart, and so I need to constantly monitor my cardiac function. SO, my point being, I have a good feel for what works and what doesn't. This EMAY ECG monitor works! Learning the operation of the unit is straight forward and quite accessible to anyone. The instructions are clear and concise: I recommend paying attention to the detail about moistening your fingertips and knee (for the 6-lead ECG) as this is important in obtaining a good result. But this is the only detail that requires particular attention. Otherwise, operation is a breeze. The unit size is wonderfully portable but not so small as to be difficult to handle and read. It comes out of the box with a full charge and ready to run. The first reading I took immediately captured a problem that I know I have in my heartbeat. It's ever so simple to record the reading in a report in pdf form that can be downloaded to both your smartphone and computer and easily transmitted to your doctor. To wrap up, the truly wonderful thing about this monitor is that it gives me a simple, easy way to know what's going on with my heart without needing to strap on a Holter monitor (with which I have a terrible record since the events I have needed to capture occur erratically) and/or being wired into a monitor that I need to wear 24/7 for a month. My doctor has advised me what to watch for on my EMAY device, so I feel a fair degree of confidence and comfort in knowing when I need to seek help. The purchase price of this monitor is ridiculously small considering it gives me some real peace of mind. Thanks EMAY!

EMAY 6L Portable ECG Monitor is an Excellent Device
I have a history of mitral valve prolapse syndrome (Barlowโs Syndrome). I felt that in 1980 and visited the cardiologist who let me see it in the ECG he performed for me. That appeared in the form of a Premature Ventricular Complex (PVC). Later, I followed up my case, everytime to undergo an ECG and get a report. Ten years ago, the cardiologist discovered Aortic Valve insufficiency with increased blood regurgitation of both the mitral and the aortic valves, a mild left ventricle hypertrophy and an increased number of PVCs. Recently, I felt that my case needed more frequent visits to the cardiologist for follow-up or, if there is someway, to try to observe oneslf at home. The Emay monitor seems to be an excellent device to use everday to see if there are any developments. This helps to decide on when to visit the cardiologist. My son who is a frequent customer of Amazon, decided to bring it as a gift to me. I am observing my ECG using this monitor on daily basis and I feel it is giving me peace of mind. Of course, according to the EMAY development team recommendations, if I feel any dangerous developments, I will immediately visit my cardiologist. Thanks to the EMAY 6L Portable ECG Monitor team for making things so easy.

A small very useful ECG device
This is a small, portable device which is easy to set up and use straight out of the box. The instruction booklets are clear and easy to follow and you don't need to purchase a subscription. Also, you don't need to use a phone app as you can see the traces on the device but using the app is actually useful because, amongst other things, you can save the traces as an image or pdf document to send on to others e.g. your GP. I bought it for my wife who experiences occasional arrhythmias but not at the precise time of an ECG at A&E or GP Surgery. This device has helped capture what she is feeling and now can present the traces to the doctor for discussion. It doesn't replace professional advice but when you get a 'no abnormalities' result it does give peace of mind. Only had it a few days, but so far, very impressed and would recommend.

Its a life saver!
Great heart monitor for me as I have hand joint problems and previous ones weren't easy to use because of it. Investing in this 6 lead reading monitor has been a Godsend. Finally my heart specialists understand what I've been trying to tell them and its hopefully going to save my life. Soon as I emailed readings to consultant he phoned me and has arranged all the pre op scans and tests so I can have surgery. I have a replaced aortic valve, moderate to severe heart failure, mitral valve failure and now my consultant has been able to confirm I have atrial fibrillation. Hospital checks never picked it up because I inevitably don't get it at an appointment. Because I look so well they didn't realise how ill I actually get so wasn't making much progress on getting the surgical treatment needed. This heart monitor can save lives and its given me a better chance of survival. No exaggeration, its a life saver and I cannot recommend it enough. Easy to use, see the results as its reading. Easy to share results. Have no faults with it at all. If you have any concerns about your heart health this is worth buying

Cardiac monitor for reassurance
This small machine about the size of a mobile phone is very simple to set up with its user-friendly free app. Use is even easier and provides 6 wire reports of current heart conditions, downloadable and printable. There is no subscription and customer service is very prompt, helpful and friendly. One can take this anywhere: its read-out provides reassurance if so required. I cannot recommend this highly enough.
