At a campsite couple of years ago no portable gas was allow because of a potential risk of fire. So no Tea or Coffee could be made in tents - Only camper-vans or purchased. Because of this I decided to purchase a solar-generator, but this was so heavy I did not used. But NOW with a greater range of solar-generators available I decided that electric tea/coffee making WAS a good idea generally, SO now I have this lovely little kettle, and a sensible size and weight generator. The kettle boil time for 500ml is acceptable and it used 14% of my generator (448wh), so I'm hoping to get over 5 boils from this per charge!. So ideal for any-day out. Pot-noodle anyone???

We took this super kettle on the ferry to Spain with us. It’s just brilliant. Boiled quickly with auto switch off. Love the colour. Didn’t feel to flimsy.

Wanted a small lightweight kettle for use in my cabin on Brittany ferries when I'm travelling to Spain, the tea and coffee on the boat is utterly utterly vile, from a machine, even in the so called restaurants, the coffee especially is unbelievably horrible, tasteless watery crap. I make my coffee in my cabin in a spill proof insulated travel mug so I can go up and drink it in the lounge. Tried a couple of little 0.5l kettles, some with higher wattage, however they all were really not satisfactory, many having short fixed leads or problematic lids etc. This kettle looks quite well made, plastic outer, stainless steel inner. Boils around 350ml of cold water in around 2.5 to 3mins, a full kettle of 500ml of cold water takes around 4 mins, which is fine for my use, its compact, it has a detachable base, and a nice touch is the cable, which is about 22” or 56cm long, winds into the base, really neat. The lid is of the ”flip open” type, very easy. The kettle switches off automatically when the water has boiled. One caveat, don't get too enthusiastic when pouring out the hot water, use common sense, if you go too mad water will escape from the lid but you really need to be going for it for that to happen. Cannot vouch for longevity, time will tell…if you want a compact lightweight kettle, low wattage that does not take an age to boil, this could be it. EDIT/30/08/25 Used this kettle maybe half a dozen times no, things to note, lid does not "latch" so if your too enthusiastic pouring water out the lid can flip oen and boiling water everywhere, neither does the lid seal, so again boiling water can spray out of the sides of the lid if your too enthusiastic, lastly, it now does not switch off when boiling...so whilst initially I thought it was ok, it's just the same cheap Chinese crap that most stuff is these days, and I'll look again.

Overall, it's a decent kettle for enthusiasts looking for precise temperature control and sleek design, but some minor build-quality improvements would make it truly excellent.

Working great up to now, this is the 4th low watt kettle i've had off Amazon. The first lasted over a year, then bought two dud ones, different brands to this one. First one scorched cable connection. So dangerous, only had for a week or so. Second one and more expensive than this one, the ON switch packed up. If I get a year out of this one I will be happy. Only for 2 people living on a boat, so not over used in anyway.but smart little kettle and not at all noisy

DO NOT BUY. First one bottom blew out after 6 months low usage causing water everywhere and massive power outage and this one blew on first test boil. As bought for 92 year old with mild dementia, these proved to be very dangerous

Well designed and looks great but does not stop at the desired temperature. The pot will exceed the temperature stated, always going past. For example I set to 70 degrees yet it always burns up to 100. So I have to sit there waiting for it to sit at the right temperature and take it off - making this useless for holding the right temperature for certain teas

Order this kettle as it was the best size and wattage to replace the old one. Ordered from the Irish site arrived a day early well packaged. Worked great boiled 3/4 of the max amount in 3 minutes. Just one problem the plug supplied was the EU type not the UK type as ordered not issue as we have eu adapter.

Nice little kettle. I am very impressed with this kettle. I use it multiple times a day. I’m the only person in my family that uses a kettle daily, we had a big litre and a half kettle previously and it seemed wasteful to boil that much water for a simple cup of tea. This has exceeded my expectations. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy again. I especially like that the interior is stainless steel and not plastic.
