Useful to make an itinerary for Eastern Australia
I now browsed through the whole guide and read carefuly about half of it. I found it very useful to create my itinerary for my trip, and I am sure it will be useful during the trip too for more spontaneous decision-making. Maybe something I would have liked to see more is additional options for where to see certain wildlife (e.g., Koalas); there are some great options already, but some are not very close to one another, so harder to combine for the traveller that does not want to add too many locations to the itinerary.

The book is OK
The book is OK. It doesn't go into much depth about lesser known areas so I don't think it's suitable as a standalone resource for research/preparation (you'll probably still need to search for the best areas to base yourself in a city for example). It doesn't give any info about driving or camping laws across states, or about the weather along the east coast (it only has an overview on Sydney's weather throughout the year). The weather in the north and south of Australia is wildly different so it's strange this info isn't given. By the way, this is a copy of the content in the large Australia book. I bought the big book and wanted more info about the East Coast specifically, and I was really disappointed to find that the content is literally recycled from the big book (so I now have the same information twice, albeit in a slightly more portable version this time).
