SeoulCeuticals Korean Kojic Acid Cream Dark Spot Remover for Face 2oz

This my second go around with this product that’s done an AMAZING job of lightening my sun damaged skin/hyperpigmentation of consisting of freckles and blotches. My skin tone is similar to Traci Ellis Ross. After 12 weeks of 1-2x/ daily use, by first prepping my skin by using a kojic acid face soap then kojic acid serum before applying this cream, my skin tone evenness has improved by 70%. I usually apply a peptide as my last layer. One must wear sunscreen daily even when cloudy to maintain results and avoid additional sun damage. And to avoid possible irritation it’s advised not to use additional acids - retinol, hyaluronic, etc. - with the Kojic products (I’d use the other acids on a rotation basis combined with rice water facial products).

This cream does work. I was getting those dark spots on my hands and forearms from the sun and age, and I started using this a few months ago and I can tell a significant difference. But please know it takes awhile, I’m on my 3rd jar. Patience is the key. I will continue ordering it until the spots are mostly gone. I apply it twice a day, after I brush my teeth as a reminder. The kojic acid is something I knew about previously from selling Arbonne. Several of their products had kojic acid in them. Fun fact, Kojic acid is found naturally in some Asian vegetables, and field workers started discovering their hands and arms were clearing up from contact with the foods.

Soft, natural looking, and easy to style. Great quality for the price.

Very light and moisturizing. Easy to apply and soaks into skin quickly with no greasy feeling. Doesn’t interfere with application of makeup. No scent to bother anyone sensitive to fragrance. I have been applying after washing my face, morning and night. I believe I’m seeing a slight lightening of a couple of sun spots but I think it probably also needs more time to work most effectively.

It seemed to do a pretty good job of softening and moisturizing my skin, but it didn't seem to really do much to lighten and even out my skin tone. The liquid version of this formula from SeoulCeuticals seems to work a little better, so I'd try that one instead. The kind that comes in the little bottle with the dropper... but the "Ganskin" kojic acid and papaya is the GOAT if you want to correct dark spots. You can find it here on Amazon too.
