I’m a customer in my late 70’s and enjoy the light feeling of the oils on my skin. It nourishes and leaves a soft glow. No need for make up for everyday appearance.

I used the Naked & Thriving Super Glow Duo of face serum and face oil for a while, and I’ve noticed that my skin feels more hydrated and soft. The serum absorbs easily and makes my skin look a bit brighter and more even, while the oil feels slightly greasy at first but absorbs well and leaves my skin moisturized and glowing. Both products have a light scent that is not bothersome, and the routine only takes about five minutes, so it’s easy to include in my daily skincare. After using it consistently, I’ve noticed my fine lines feel slightly less noticeable, and my skin overall feels healthier.

I had never heard of Naked & Thriving before, but I was really intrigued by the clean ingredients, and decided to give this Super Glow Duo set a try. I'm so glad I did! Firstly, while no product review should focus on packaging (unless it's detrimental to the dispersion of the product), I have to mention that the packaging for these 2 products is simply gorgeous. The leaf patterns on the bottles and boxes is beautiful, simplistic, and high end looking. I was mostly drawn to this set because the daytime serum has bakuchiol (a plant based retinoid alternative) and licorice root (excellent for fading dark spots). The daytime (Illuminate) serum is amazing! I find it very soothing for my skin, and I swear it makes it feel tighter and firmer. I don't know exactly what the magic ingredient is that does this, or if it is the combination of ingredients working in synergy, but it does make my skin feel firmer and more refined. There are no perfumes or added scents to this serum- only the scents from the natural ingredients. To me, it smells like a cross of earthy cinnamon with something floral, but in the best way. It's an earthy, grounding scent, if that makes any sense? The Rejuvenate Face Oil is the complete opposite in scent- fruity and light. It is a wonderful oil to seal in moisture after using a facial moisturizer. I like to add a few extra drops to my skin at night, before bed, and I know I'll be using this all winter long to seal in all the moisture I can! I try a lot of skincare products, and this dynamic duo has earned a coveted spot on my bathroom vanity!

After opening the boxes, I was immediately impressed with the appearance and feel of the bottles. They truly are luxurious to view and use. • Oil: The oil had a strong fragrance that wasn't overwhelming, but very noticeable; it had citrus and floral notes. The oil was lightweight, and easy to spread over my skin. Layering the oil over the serum locked the benefits of the serum into my skin for a longer period than when I didn't use the oil as a barrier. I was also able to use the oil as a base from my daily gua sha facial massaging, which was a nice experience as the oil was thin enough to provide a lot of slip to the massage tools. • Serum: The serum had a consistency that was slightly thicker than water. It absorbed into my skin very quickly, leaving a slightly dewy finish. I wasn't able to apply multiple layers of this product (as I sometimes do when my skin is dry), as the serum became quite thick and began to rub off of my face after the second layer, but the serum was very hydrating after just one layer. This serum paired well with my phototherapy wand, and the addition of the wand allowed the serum to penetrate more quickly and deeply into my skin.

I was fully prepared to dislike this set. It's quite pricey, and I thought there was no way these two products would live up to my high standards for skincare. I give out high marks regularly for my beloved K-beauty products, and rarely anything over 4 stars for products from the US or elsewhere- they just aren't usually very good. These two products really blew me away though! I use them after cleansing and toning. Serum first, then after a few minutes, apply a few drops of the oil, and let it sink in for about 5 minutes, before using anything else. They are both amazing products! The serum really plumps and brightens, and the oil, not only smells amazing, but it leaves my skin so soft, and glowy! Wonderful for day or night! I haven't gotten any pilling or anything like that, wither with additional products, or adding makeup over these. They sink in nicely and really my skin has looked so good since using these. The packaging is gorgeous too!

Both products I feel are most likely on their way to helping. No dramatic or noticeable results yet, but leaves my skin feeling nice. They do come with instructions as to how long to let them set into your skin. They do have a fragrance to them. Not a subtle natural scent more so an added scent. The packaging is very nice. The face oil takes awhile to sink or dry down. I definitely stick to using that facial oil at night and using another brand facial oil in the morning. So far, I have been using this for a few weeks morning and night and I do not notice a difference in my skin yet. I do use the Eminence brand products as well and those showed a difference very noticeably when starting to use whereas this brand has not. So if you already have a great skincare regime you may not notice things, but I do like these. Unsure if I would purchase again as I really love the Eminence organic skincare line.

This skincare duo came beautifully packaged and the bottles are gorgeous. There were no safety seals on either one. I am unable to see an expiration date for either bottle but most products will expire with 12 months after opening. The serum is thin and tan-colored. It absorbs very quickly into my skin and contains some awesome stuff like vitamin C, hyaluronic acid, baobab seed oil, bakuchiol, bearberry, licorice root, and ferulic acid. It has amazing antioxidant and brightening properties and boosts collagen. The scent is very strong and floral. There are no added perfuming ingredients so I’m not sure where the scent comes from but it gives me a bit of a headache when I wear this serum. The oil is orange and definitely oily but in a GOOD way. A lot of it absorbs into the skin and so there’s so greasy or oil-slick feeling. It leaves a dewy sheen on my face that I actually like. It contains a ton of antioxidant and soothing ingredients. Some of the best oils in this are sweet almond, argan, sea buckthorn, chia, pomegranate, rosemary, and sunflower. There are a few essential oils that probably give it the strong citrus/citronella scent. It’s too soon to see the age-fighting benefits but using both of these together has helped calm my skin and improve the tone a little. Plus there’s that glowy look I get from the oil which I appreciate at my age (50). If not for the strong scents, I’d give these five stars but there are days when I can’t even use them because of an existing headache that would only be made worse with the addition of anything scented. The price is high but the oil contains rose oil and from what I understand, it’s super expensive to make. If the cost and scent do not bother you, this set is a nice splurge.
