Running this as my home gaming and personal workstation monitor and it's been a significant upgrade. The 1000R curve on 49 inches is aggressive enough that it actually wraps your peripheral vision rather than just being a flat screen that's wide -- you feel it in games especially. 240Hz is noticeably smoother than what I was coming from. Combined with the 1ms response and FreeSync Premium Pro, fast-paced games feel genuinely different. No ghosting issues, motion clarity is excellent. The 1000 nit peak brightness and contrast ratio are where this panel earns its price. HDR content looks legitimately good -- shadows have depth, highlights don't blow out. I was skeptical about the specs on paper but in use it delivers. CoreSync ambient lighting is a gimmick I thought I'd turn off immediately and haven't. It actually adds to immersion in a dark room without being distracting. Stand is solid -- height, tilt, and swivel all adjust smoothly and hold position. VESA compatible if you want an arm instead. I got it on sale for black friday way below the current price (was $700) and have absolutely no regrets. I have 2x Dell U492DW 49inch monitors at work and they are $1500 each. This was half the price and feels identical in quality. Check out the curve before you buy, this is noticeably more curved than I anticipated, but honestly I think I prefer such for home use.

I just received this monitor so I cannot speak to its longevity, but my initial impression is - I love it! I replaced a 36" widescreen monitor with this one and the difference is significant. I multitask quite a bit and have a lot of windows open all the time and now I can have a lot more on the screen real estate. The ease of viewing is excellent due to the curvature. I will note that this thing is heavy for a monitor. It arrived in a large box inside of another large box. Setup was relatively easy, took me about 10 minutes from unboxing to having it online though I must admit that it took me a minute or two to figure out how to turn it on and select the correct input. Bottom line - I love it despite the relatively high cost. Note that I am not a gamer so I can't speak to the gaming quality, but as a person who works in the IT industry and has to stare at a screen 12 hours a day, this thing is worth it to me.

Bought it on May 18, 2024, it popped loudly then died on November 9, 2024. HAD a beautiful picture, everything nice everybody else has already said, I was really enjoying it. Fired up the computer this morning, nothing different or changed in months, started a game that I normally play and heard a "pop" through the speakers and the monitor went black. There was no power outage, it's on a UPS so even if so that wouldn't affect it, everything else running fine still. Turned off all power, unplugged everything from UPS so it had zero power, let it sit unpowered for a couple of minutes, plugged all back in, fired up and the screen is black. Made sure that I repowered using the power button on the monitor, and it wasn't having any of it. It's a dead parrot after only, what, just shy of SIX MONTHS. A "high quality" monitor from Samsung, a normally reliable company, shouldn't be having issues like this so quickly. Usually when I buy Samsung it's for life, so to speak, meaning I stop using the products when I upgrade to something else years later. It's too late for me to refund on Amazon, however Samsung tech support offered to troubleshoot it assuming I ship it back (who keeps an original box/Styrofoam for something this monstrously big longer than a few weeks? Not I), so now the quest begins to find a huge non-standard sized box and twenty gallons of Styrofoam peanuts and do all the fun manual and time consuming work that goes into sending something huge back to a company. Fortunately they're providing the shipping label. If they can't fix it I believe I'm on a one year warranty still, so hopefully they replace it. Just less than six months on such a high quality expensive monitor. Shameful. I'm not asking for much except a working high quality item I purchased working like it should, and I'm being as reasonable as I can be. Make it right Samsung and I'll revise this review. NEW 12/13/2024: The Rep who said to ship it back said another Rep would get back to me with details in a couple of days. Nobody ever contacted me, and the Rep himself was very snarky and belittling as if somehow this was my fault. Need to call back again, but I'm getting the feeling that Samsung is taking a knee and running out the clock on the warranty, leaving me out over $900. This is not right, it's not good, it's not fair of a multi billion dollar company to rip people off like this and I'm highly upset, and to top it off, they basically put all the onus on me to find some kind of mega box to ship it back in (good luck with that folks) and then don't send a shipping label or contact me with a follow up. NOT GOOD! Last Update: True to form, Samsung ran out the clock on the warranty. I have a dead monitor that cost me $900 sitting in the garage, and it's so "new" that you can't find a power supply for it yet. See others reporting this. Lowering this to 1 star, and wish I could give a negative star. Never doing business with Samsung regarding their monitors ever again, and they clearly don't care nor do they care about the many others reporting the same thing.

Oled who? This monitor is sick! I have an LG c5 and a Samsung neo G7. This monitor blows them away. For gaming it almost feels like cheating. You can see everything! The brightness is unreal for a VA panel without Fald. Would 10/10 buy this again.

This monitor is absolutely beautiful. I pause every now and then to just appreciate the curved screen while working. It provides multiple configurations, one of which allows you split the monitor in half and work on two computers. I'm just a little bit worried about durability because a few times, a vertical line of dead pixels has appeared on the screen and I hard to restart the monitor to get rid of it.

I loved this monitor, but I had to send it back because it had a dead pixel, and for $900 dollars, this is not acceptable in my opinion. Though I will order another one once Amazon gives me refund. The Pros of this monitor: - Very bright - High contrast - Very colorful - Big screen real estate for work - Fast (240 Hz) Refresh Rate - Response times are fast too (for a VA), it does not compare to an OLED nor a TN panel though. - 1000R curve is really good, I thought it was going to be a problem, but no, I love it. - The Picture-in-Picture and Picture-by-Picture feature is awesome! Being able connect both my work computer and personal laptop at the same time is great. Love it! The Cons of this monitor: - It came with a dead pixel, but hopefully yours will arrive without that issue. - Sound quality of the monitor is below average, but most people have their own speaks or headsets for audio, so it will not be a problem for most. Here is my recommended settings for the monitor, to make everything look bright, colorful and easy to see, specifically text: Game => Refresh Rate => 240 Hz Game => Adaptive-Sync => On Game => Black Equalizer => 0 Picture => Picture Mode => Game Standard Picture => Brightness => 50 Picture => Contrast => 40 Picture => Sharpness => 15 Picture => Color => 30 Picture => Tint => 0 Picture => Local Dimming => High Picture => Contrast Enhancer => High System => SeeColor Mode => Off System => Save Energy => Off System => DisplayPort Ver. => 1.4 System => Auto Switch Source+ => On Also, make sure to turn on "G-Sync" or "FreeSync" on the software (nVidia or AMD) for your video card or GPU, so the Adaptive Sync can work properly. In conclusion, I recommend this monitor for work and play, and at $900 is a great buy. Hopefully yours will have no dead pixels, but you can always return it and get another one. Good luck!

Think the LCD version is great although saw the OLED version the other day @ BestBuy and there is no comparison the blacks are deeper and everything pops out. The unit arrived in good condition I kept the box just if I have to move it again the bent displays are very fragile and can't take much e little tick and they crack they are under tension I destroyed two other ones by not being careful not this type but a Dell and Samsung curved 34 inch. So tip keep the box. The screen itself generates a lot of heat the display front is hot this part worried me for longevity. Colors are accurate however when you turn your head in front of it and black parts in the corners look grey just a problem with LCD's in general. The high refresh rate gets easily handled by my laptop a Dell 5570 with a video card over a USB to HDMI adapter gets to 240hz my desktop also no issues with a RTX 3060 full res and refresh rate. so far so good reading the reviews am worried about cracking but future will tell.

Might be the best monitor I've ever purchased. For what I paid for it, the value is unquestionable. The colors are bright and vivid, it was easy to hook up and get looking the way I wanted it, without confusing controls or needing to know color theory to set it up properly. All in all, this is the perfect monitor for anything and everything.
