The material is thick and very soft after washing. Well made. It feels similar to cotton terry material but it is polyester so it will dry much faster and isnt so heavy. I noticed that the stitching is reinforced in certain spots. I bought one for my 4 year old and it will fit him for at least the next 5 years or so. Would definitely purchase again.

I wanted to love these towels because of the stitched sides but I don't :(. They are pricey and I bought 3, one for each of my kids. The towels are very narrow even though my kids are only 2 and 4, and they can barely get their head through the top hole, and their arms up through the towel to get through the arm hole at the top. They don't want to bring these to camp or use them at home, they say they are too difficult to get on. They are soft and absorbent, but that doesn't matter much if they aren't being used.

Absorbent, colorful, easy to wear.
My twin grandchildren boys use the ponchos for after swim club practice. Fantastic ponchos, boys 5 years old throw them over their heads and are ready to leave dressing rooms in 5 min. Soft, absorbent, and colorful. Other parents ask where we buy the poncho.
