PLEASANTLY SURPRISED! Would get again and WHY.....
OK, I don't eat meat, but I do eat eggs, cheese occasionally, rarely seafood. I'm always looking for something I can nuke for lunch or dinner that tastes good, not high in fat or calories. I get tired of the same old, same old. I had Annie's micro brown rice before and liked it, thought I would give this a try. Here's all about my experience: TASTE - I thought it was VERY tasty. On the front of the outside packaging, it shows it having a heat/spicy index right between mild and medium. I would hate to see what they call HOT! I have had hotter/spicier, but I would AT LEAST consider this between medium and hot. Cleared my sinuses. LOVED THE FLAVOR MIXTURES and it was actually better than I have had in some restaurants and tasted fresh. PACKAGING/COOKING CONVENIENCE - JUST follow the directions carefully. Just a few steps, but important to follow re how to prep, easy though. Cooks in 90 secs and I let it sit about a minute. You do need to really stir to mix in all ingredients evenly. QUANTITY - For ME, it was a nice little lunch. If you're used to having a LOT of food for lunch, you might want two. ONE was plenty for me and FILLING. COST - OK was on sale, but I would pay regular price. Quality and quantity, plus having something DIFFERENT, well worth it to me. BOTTOMLINE: You don't know til you try it, but it you're a fan a fairly spicy Asian food, I don't think you'll be disappointed. ESPECIALLY at this price point. We don't have many great Asian restaurants in town and this really hit the spot!

Very Tasty and Filling.
So I purchased these on a whim. They are very quick to prepare(under 2 minutes). This makes it a perfect quick, filling meal. These have a good amount of weight to them. The noodles are thick and flavorful. The sauce is very tasty as well. Little bit of a tang, slightly hot, but very flavorful. The crushed peanuts included is a nice touch and definitely make it more filling... Also worth noting is, you do not need a microwave to make these. It sure does make things easier, but you can prepare the noodles with just hot water as well by covering and letting sit for a few. Overall very satisfied, it tasted much better than the 2 minutes of preparation would have me expect. I see myself purchasing more of these and trying other Annie Chun foods. I recommend these.

Too pricy for value received. Noodles are tasty
Fairly tasty but additional items such as chicken and other vegetables to boost protein should be combined in the mix. The udon noodles are very good. I'd consider buying it again. I'd like to buy the noodle packets sans the other ingredients and use my own bowl.

Great Meals...Getting too Expensive!
First of all, I love these Asian noodle bowls! I think I've had just about every flavor. They're so much better than any kind of cheap Ramen bowl (and I get that you get what you pay for). The way they package the noodles keeps them fresh and soft. The sauce packets provide plenty of flavor. I wish the veggie packet contained a bit more freeze-dried goodness. And they're ready in a flash! But at close to $18-20/case of these, I just can't justify the price to value anymore. I know everything is going up, but consumers still have choices. And Annie Chun is off my list for now.

Fiber and protein, but sodium and carbs through the roof
HIGH FIBER, BUT... After being hospitalized with GI issues, I'd been looking for high fiber foods that were also easy to prepare. These noodles appear to fit the bill at first (9g of fiber), but they are very high in sodium and carbs. The carb count per package, 83g, is shown on the nutrition info label as 30% of recommended daily carb intake! VERY HIGH CARBS I noticed elevated liver enzyme levels in a recent blood test, and my doctor said that I likely had non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), which is not uncommon in Asian populations due to high carb diets. Considering that I've been eating these almost daily for over a year(!!!), it made sense. I've quit eating these and hope my next blood test will show lowered liver enzyme levels. RECYCLING Each bowl of noodles has each vacuum-sealed ingredient (noodles, sauce, toppings) stored in a thin plastic bowl with lid, and that bowl with lid are kept together with a cardboard sleeve. To help with recycling, I take separate the vacuum-sealed ingredients and put them in a plastic container in the pantry, then put the cardboard sleeve and plastic bowl and lid in the recycling bin. I then put the ingredients into a bowl from my cupboard when it's time to eat. BOTTOM LINE These are certainly convenient to have in your work desk or pantry if you need to eat a filling meal and have boiling water or a microwave oven around. If you don't have issues with carbs/blood sugar/liver and sodium, these would be okay to keep on hand to eat once in a while. If you do have any of the above issues, I'd steer clear of these.
