Great little scalp massager
Great little scalp massager. Price was right. I'm trying to stimulate hair growth so my hair will grow longer faster. I will add some black castor oil and sometimes a homemade concoction of onion oil (don't smirk, it smells awesome. Yes, I am happily married, my husband doesnt mind it at all, LOL... the smell washes away with one shampoo.) Boil some coconut oil, add sliced onions and a couple teaspoons of curry powder, cook for like 20-30 minutes, strain out onions. Store oil in a jar in the fridge.( Eat the onions. SO GOOD. but i digress.) Anyway, the onion, coconut, and curry are supposed to be good for hair growth, as is the scalp massage - especially if done inverted ( lie on the bed with your head upside down) I try to massage every night, i put the oils in like once-twice a week because i dont want to wash my hair too much more than that. Has my hair grown? i don't know, it's only been a month. (i'll try to update in a couple months) but my scalp feels really healthy from all the massaging, promoting blood flow. I have not had a problem with it tangling my hair, ripping it out, once i figured out the method of not ramming it all the way down on my scalp... Stop before the handle touches your head. And don't yank it out when you are done S.L.O.W.L.Y lift it , and if you feel any hair being caught, slightly wiggle & twist it gently, and it should release pretty easily without pulling out the hair. OH, and if you are using onion oil, it will be lubricated enough to glide right out of you hair ;o) 5 stars. Going to get more because my husband wants one ;o)

Magic on a Stick, But Be Gentle
Ahhh, the feeling of a dozen metal prongs grazing over your tired scalp after a long day, there's nothing quite like it. And even better than scratching your own head, is having someone else use the scalp massager on you. I never fail to crack a smile every time I sit down and soak in the good vibes that this massager sends down my scalp, through my spine and out towards the rest of my body. The only comparable feeling of bliss that I can relate this to is having your head washed with warm water after a haircut. Here's the breakdown: Pros: -The Feels: The wonderful massaging sensation. For those of you who regularly visit spas and receive professional massages, I can't say that this product will live up to your scalp's standards. But for the average guy or gal who just needs a head scratch and their hand isn't quite cutting it, I would definitely suggest this. -Storage: This is a perfect desk ornament, for either work or home. The massager balances fairly well on its bottom six prongs, so unless you intentionally swipe it, the thing won't just fall down. -Design: The sleek metal grip, extending to the long thin metal wires has a futuristic vibe, and doesn't feel to be cheaply made. Also, the plastic bulbs on the end of the massager protect your scalp from aggressive scratching; there is little to no possibility of injury if used correctly. Cons: -Durability: The only negative insight that I can offer to this product, and possibly the only reason that I'm only giving it 4 stars, is that it broke after a month. However, I take into consideration that my roommates definitely could have treated the thing with more care. Not that it will fall apart if you massage yourself too hard, but be careful when handling this, if you throw it into a backpack with other heavy things, or someone accidentally steps on it, the metal prongs can bend out of place and it will essentially ruin the product. They can easily be bent back into a similar position, but it will never quite be the same. Overall: I would definitely buy another one of these. It would make a great gift for someone who hasn't heard of personal scalp massagers, or even a nice addition to your desk collection - I've even built a self-reward system off of this - 5 minutes of head scratching for every hour of work. It helps calm my nerves and really does evoke a physical sensation that you can't achieve by scratching your noggin the old fashioned way. And don't let the durability part scare you into not buying this, it really is a good product, but it's not invincible; be delicate when transporting it and try not to inflict any force that would bend the prongs.

Great Item for health and well being
As a Doctor with over 40 years of practice, I highly recommend this affordable and beneficial product. This massager increases blood circulation to the cranium therefore stimulating hair growth of the follicles on the crown and forehead region. I highly recommend this product for balding men, as I have seen substantial growth within the first 2-4 weeks of use 3 times daily. In one study a patient with complete male pattern baldness grew 4 inches of hair on his entire head. Also, using this massager contributes to the overall well being as it feels good and scratches your head like no other devices or fingers can. This device can relax you and provide better deeper sleep and relief from depression and constipation. It is used and more commonly in the Eastern part of the world such as China and Japan, and has just recently been catching on here in the states. It is also a great tool for pets and small children. A recent study has shown that daily use of the massager on toddlers has decreased the likelihood of autism and childhood diabetes by % 75. A wonderful product for such a great price. (I made all that up)

It's good and does what it promises to do but sometimes tangles hair.

Good Bang for the Buck!
I have only had this for a week, and, I usually don't like to write an opinion this soon. But since it seemed to relieve a scalp inflammation issue I've had over the last months, it deserves to have a comment made. I have woken many times over the past months with my scalp feeling heated and tender mostly over my left side of my head. It would kind of come and go, but be more tender at times. At first I thought I hit my head against something while restless in sleeping? When I notice it, I usually just massage my scalp with my hands and fingers for awhile and that usually relieves it enough as to not be bothersome. But I still feel a bit of tenderness over that area if I touch it. More recently, it has been tender for a more prolonged time and my finger massages have not really been as effective. I don't remember how I happened to run across this device on Amazon. However, I had been Googling for answers to what the "scalp" tenderness could be. So out of many selections of various scalp massagers/acupressure tools - I choose this one because of the excellent reviews. As soon as I received it, I put it directly over my scalp on the right side. I moved it around a little until it kind of felt right. I got an immediate tingling sensation, almost as if the tool was charged with something. I rotated it only slightly while keeping it about the same spot. After a couple of minutes the tingling stopped. I could not get it to do that again. So I just moved the prongs around that area slowly rotating over the tender area. Within 5 to 10 minutes, all the tenderness was gone. I will have to wait until the next time (if there is one) I get that tenderness again, to see if it works the same. It would even be better of course, if the tenderness never comes back. But that is like saying I will never be stressed again. Rather wishful thinking as they say. I used to be a massage therapist, so I know how to massage a scalp. I wish I had this tool when I was working with people. It would have been a great asset.

OH EM EF GEE
These things are AMAZING!!! They tickle really bad, but they feel sooooooo dang good! And you can't go wrong for this price. They literally stop us from whatever we are doing and reduce us to a melting pile of groaning pleasure. No, it's not a strong, hard massage or anything, but it is a nice, gentle, tingling massage that feels amazing, scratches your itchy spots, completely relaxes you, and is really fun to use! I didn't realize I was getting two in one box when I ordered, but it turned out to be perfect because now we can massage each other at the same time. Occasionally we use it on the dog and she goes nuts - you can tell she loves it but it tickles! Hehehe. I think the only reason one would be disappointed in these is if they thought they were going to get a hard, strong massage or something. That's what yours hands are for! This is for a soft, relaxing, tingling, tickling massage. They're wonderful!

Disgusting!
I purchased this item as a Christmas gift for someone who is hard to buy for, because she can afford anything and everything she wants on the drop of a dime. If she wants it, she doesn't normally wait for Christmas to get it- and this is something that she requested. I received the package today and it comes in a clear cylinder with the item inside. It also came complete with dents at the opening of the package and scratches all over, a few cat hairs on the outside of the package... It looks like someone packaged it up from their house and mailed it... If I was looking for a used item, I would have shopped Craigslist or Freecycle. The top of the cyclinder appears to have been glued shot with nail glue or something similar- as the bottom does not have this problem, and was probably done to make it appear new and unopened. The product itself looks worn as it has small spots of rust on the wires... If I purchased this for myself I would still be annoyed, but you are giving something as a gift and it looks like you got it from the thrift store- it's another story... The product will function as it should, but I didn't purchase a used item- I was looking for a new item. Amazon should stay away from so many of these third party vendors because it makes them look bad, and I will think twice about using them for so much of my holiday shopping in the future. My husband has also received two packages that he purchased through Amazon from third parties and they also look used. Awesome.

Good value. Handles are completely different from picture, but still attractive
Rapid delivery! I ordered this on Saturday afternoon, and it arrived the following Tuesday. The product box was quite battered and was sealed with sellotape, so I was a bit apprehensive about what I'd find inside (especially considering the price), but the three massagers were all fine, with no signs of previous use. There were a couple of little black blobs at odd points on the arms (wires), but these were just drips from the "beading" substance which had been applied to the ends. The handles were as follows: 1 red, 1 turquoise and 1 purple. Each had four pairs of thick glittery silver stripes which were set at a slant. At the end was a varnished light-coloured round wooden knob. Length of metal part of handle was 5.5cm (2.25"). The knob was 2cm long and 2cm wide(three-quarters of an inch). I have purchased the actual *pictured* item elsewhere; the handle is a little longer but the arms are almost the same length as for the "trio" above, and they all look equally robust, so the trio pack compares favourably, particularly as this deal works out much cheaper.
