Will this work on gold patent leather?

TRG the One Metallic Shoe Cream worked really well on my gold sandals and leather purse. I imagine it will do wonders for your gold patent leather, too.

Can this be used to repair my hot pink leather bag?

I used this to recolor a hot pink leather bag. I had to add a little of the blue shoe cream to this and it was the perfect color, as there are a lot of variations of variations of hot pink. I would suggest buffing it well after applying the cream so none of it transfers to your clothing.

Is the color actually Magenta, or is it Burgundy as it says in the link?

It is actually close to dark pink (fuchsia / magenta) than maroon (dark red).
