This is one of our favorite games to play with our families!!! Even our toddler do the “Yo, Ho,Ho” move haha is super fun! I love the idea of the app that helps keeps track of the process! Quality of the cards are perfect! Great for any ages as mentions! Is a FAVORITE GAME!!

Bought this game as a family Christmas present. It was the card game we had the most fun with of all other games we played that night. This game is really fun, easy to learn and quick to play. It adds constant excitement and twists in the game. Definitely super recommend this card game for anyone that loves playing games with family.

This game is so much fun. Know your characters, and watch opponents strategies for best success. Scoring is a bit tricky and slowed the game while learnining. Then we discovered :there is an app for that". If you choose a scoring app, be careful to select one that follows the true scoring system or you may have some significant variations scoring. Now that i know the characters and rules, it is worth using the scoring pad provided. A designatrd scorer using e paper score pad iseems more accurate.

My wife and I play a lot of games. And my kids play games with us. I grew up playing a game we called "Knock" or "Mormon Bridge" and this is an enhanced version of that game!! Skull King is similar to other trick playing games like Rook or Spades, in that players give a bid for the number of tricks they will take. In Skull King, the bid is done at the same time... We still knock on the table with a 1...2...3... BID. You then get points based on the accuracy of your bid. In Skull King there are bonus points for sluffing (bidding zero). There are cards that allow you to sluff or take. There are also cards with points on them. And there are the pirates that take all, with the Skull King who trumps all pirates and gets extra points for "recruiting" pirates played that trick. All of the variations make this game a lot of fun and totally worth buying! CONS: The many special cards make the game less predictable than traditional trick-taking games. My wife doesn't much like the added variation. This does make the game not quite as serious and slightly less strategic. PROS: The game moves pretty quick. Good for groups and all ages. Its got a good amount of strategy but the play is still easy going and fun. You can't help but smile when you get punked by the Skull King. If you like trick-taking card games then you will probably like this game. For the money, the simplicity, the age range, and the number of players I give this game 5 out 5 stars.

Family loves this game. Very challenging but still fun. Different rules to incorporate so you can keep it exciting.

Purchased for my 9 year old as a gift but the whole family LOVES this game, even my 6.5 year old who plays own his own (doesn’t need to play as a team with a grown up). It’s really fun to teach the kids a trick taking game because that convention is used in so many other games so they now are accustomed to that skill. I love that the game has multiple ways to score and types of cards you can include/exclude to vary the degree of difficulty. We play the entire 10-round game in about 45 minutes but all adult groups or those who are more speedy would probably do it in 30 minutes. It’s small and compact, easy to store, and take places too. Highly recommend. One of our two favorite games of 2025! You just can’t go wrong with any of the Grandpa Beck’s games.

Got this for my game loving 8yo and it is a huge hit! There were a lot of rules to read at first but then we picked it up really easily. It's a bidding and trick taking game with interesting cards with a pirate theme. My 8yo was insanely good at this from the first time we played.

My family has had so much fun playing this game. It's easy enough for people who don't play cards much, but there is enough strategy for experienced card players. Plus the pirate theme makes it super fun for everyone. I also love how you can customize with the different game modes. Well worth it. One of my favorite games of all time.
