I bought 2, for both my ryobi weed wackers. Easy install (if your handy) install quick and easy.. so far working like brand. Don't waste your time time to fix and clean old carb.. one little obstruction can drive you nuts try to clean and repair.. fast shipping and install makes it a no brainer..

RY28040 and RY28041 use the same carb. Very easy to install all parts. But here are a few tips. There are two gaskets, they are not exactly the same. Be sure to use the correct one. My RY28040 has tiny hole in the gasket where it breathes. Only one of the gaskets has the hole. If yours doesn't use the other gasket. To get the new lines in the tank bevel the very tip of the gas line, like making an arrow. They go right in without special tool. I'd buy this again no doubt. I don't know how long this carb will last. The one that came with it lasted from 2010 original to 2016. But it ran poorly for the last year I had it but it still worked. I then bought a real Ryobi carb because I promise you on a Stihl Chainsaw don't buy anything but Stihl. But apparently that is no the case with Ryobi parts as the real thing failed after 2 seasons and I might weed eat 2 times a summer. Not good. Actually sitting around is the worse thing for these carbs. Another MAJOR hint is only use Marine Gasoline with no Ethanol. Yes it's a $1 more a gallon but its worth it. After I changed the carb, gas lines, plug, I put in gas I'd mixed 2 years ago and started instantly. That's with no stabilizer either. I mixed that gas sometime in summer of 2017. That's how long Non Alcohol gas lasts. DO NOT USE CAR GAS in any of your small engines. Marine non alcohol in my Briggs engine push mower goes 5 to 8 years between cleaning with Marine gas. With car gas I would have to clean it at best every 2 years.

Works better than the oem

Perfect fit for my Ryobi SS26. Came with everything I needed and even included a new spark plug. This is the second carb in 6 years that I've purchased for this trimmer. The first one brought this inherited trimmer back to life, and this latest carb was a lot cheaper and a lot less hassle than rebuilding.

I have a Ryobi 200mph leaf blower that was going in the trash bin. I had this blower for 12+ years and kept up with light maintenance. Went to local big box store for a new gas powered blower and now they only carry all battery operated. I do like battery/electric gadgets but for lawn work I prefer gas powered tools. Fortunately, I did not purchase the electric version and came across this carb kit. Replaced everything that needed it and my 12+ year blower is working better than when I 1st purchased it. Great value and easy to install. Love this product and very glad I came across this seller and glad I didn't spend my money on electric/battery products that were well over $350.

Replaced carburetor and fuel lines on 2007 model Ryobi BC30 brush cutter. Two pulls after cleaning gas tank and adding fresh fuel and it cranked right up. Very happy. Came with extra primer bulb too! I did not need the provided spark plug so I can’t be sure it is the correct one but I’m guessing it is. This machine had not been cranked in years.

Carb worked well.

Bought a couple of these kits, for a Ryobi weedeater and leaf blower that I'd bought as projects late last summer. Installation was easy enough thanks to plenty of videos available online. And both tools worked through the fall. The non-carb parts of the kit all fit fine where needed. But come the following spring, the choke levers on both no longer worked. One broke off completely, while the other just spun around the shaft. This rendered the carburetors useless as there aren't replacement parts available.

This kit has everything you need, two petrol filters, lots of fuel line, a new spark plug, all gaskets, and the carb adjustment tool etc. Good instructions are on YouTube, but it is the first time I had ever changed anything on an engine and I could cope with this. Two bolts to undo the carburettor, and a bit of fiddling with feeding new fuel line into the tank and you are done. To my amazement, after just a little tweak of the carburettor adjusting screws with the tool provided, the engine started nicely. It now runs beautifully. I'm now only using alkylate fuel plus two stroke oil, as ordinary unleaded may have contributed to poor running previously and eventual gumming up of the carburettor. I thought the engine was going to have to be scrapped as most places sigh when you mention Ryobi and refuse to service them. This fairly inexpensive carburettor kit has given the power head a new lease of life, it really does run again as well as it did when first purchased several years ago. I was also very impressed that it arrived all the way from the USA a week earlier than expected. Of course these are made in China and you can probably purchase direct for a few pound less, but the US sellers have encouraging reviews, providing some reassurance that you'll get the part required.
