You don't. It is not designed to be open. It is a nasal sppray and you squeeze the bottle with your thumb and 2 fore fingers,

How does "extreme congestion" differ "intense sinus"? both show the same ingredients: oxymetazoline hydrocholroide .05%

So the intense sinus has eucalyptus in it which really clears you out quickly and the extreme congestion is with aloe Vera. Both are great I just prefer the more intense quicker version better for myself. My dad prefers the extreme congestion better the eucalyptus is a little to intense for him.

what's the expiration date?

Depends on when you buy it and the box you get. Mine was a couple of years away.

Does this product have zinc in it?

No it doesn’t it is just nose spray. For me it’s the only nose spray that works and it’s quick. Zicam does have a homeopathic nose spray that is zinc free but it’s suppose to shorten colds.
