Got this to make for my hubby for V-day. It is a great gift idea but WORK INTENSIVE. The final product is awesome, and whoever receives it will know immediately how hard you worked on it - but give yourself plenty of time. - The little gold rings are not quite usable unless you manipulate them a bit. I had to widen each of them so that I could fit the tiny rolled up scroll inside each ring. That took a very long time and because I did it with my hands (had no tool that would help but maybe you do and if so, use it), I actually got blisters from it! But hey, nothing says "I LOVE YOU" to someone when you give them this gift like having injured yourself making it = labor of love. After I inserted the tiny rolled up paper, I then had to press the ring to tighten it back up, so the paper wouldn't fall out (part of blistergate). - The pieces of paper are TINY. If you are giving this to someone who uses readers and can't see tiny print easily, you have to adjust your writing style so they can actually read your message. What I did was, on one side (the outer side) of the paper, I wrote a generic beginning statement, such as "I'll never forget..." or "I love it when..." and then on the other side I wrote the detailed message. This gave me more room to write bigger to make it easier to read. - Because the paper is so small, I took the time to make my messages short and to the point. I initially wrote them in Word just so I could start putting down tons of ideas. It takes time to think of 100 things like this. Then I went back through them and tried to shorten them down to as few words as possible without losing the meaning of the message. I gave myself a couple of days because of course as time passed, I thought of more cute things to say. - The paper colors vary from dark to light hued. The green, red and purple are rather dark, so if you have a pen that writes in white, metallic, or pastel gel pens, those will be much easier to read on the darker colors. I probably sound insane for going through all of this to make a DIY gift such as this. But the lovely thing is, it is going to last a long time and I can't think of anything better than having a stash of little love notes that you can dip into if you're having a bad day. My husband says it makes him smile every time, and the "I'll never forget" messages I made are particularly fun because then it leads to reminiscing. Worth the time, pain and price, in my opinion. :)

I’ve been working on this for some time now because of the time and detail it takes to make. It could easily take about 2-3 days to sit and finish if doing in chunks! Will keep updated on what the results and reaction are!

Its going to take a while to fill out enough of these to make the bottle full. But its a super cute gift idea, and im thinking it'll be a great present a year or so from now.
