Choice of 1 but worthwhile!
I bought a G series Cordless drill a few years ago. I wanted and impact driver, and this is the only G series model Makita make. I am not a professional, just a DIYist, but this is a great tool. Powerful, easy to handle with really good battery life. If you have G series tools and need a Impact Driver for occasional use, then you will not be disappointed. This however is for putting in/taking out screws, it is NOT for torqueing big nuts (e.g. car wheels) But then neither is most of the professional range. I bought a set of Makita bits alongside this. They were slightly expensive, but I am glad I went to the expense. So much better than the cheap sets on offer.

Does the job, nothing more.
There's not much to say really. It's a barebones, no frills, impact driver that uses the G-series battery and mine came in a padded envelope, no documents. Variable speed on the trigger and a just okay working light (that can be a bit fiddly to activate without engaging the motor). Can't really complain for the price. I only purchased it to compliment a G-series drill I got 8 years ago as I've gotten into building larger wood shelving and flower bedding and the combi-drill struggled with driving large screws into sleepers. No trouble for this impact driver even with the relatively weak G-series batteries. It ain't the fastest or longest lasting (though I intend to buy some larger 3rd party batteries) but it's a massive step up from having to drill to a certain point then finishing with a wrench.

Was mildly dubious about this when it arrived as it didn't come with the original packaging but after using it heavily over the past few days, it has not missed a beat and is an excellent product. Highly recommended.

Wrong description - wont fit 18v
This model is for 14 V batteries,and wont fit Standard Makita 18 V batteries. had to send mine back

Niet heel sterk
Persoonlijk zou ik de volgende keer een machine uit de LXT lijn aanschaffen. Ik heb met de DTD154Z gewerkt en deze is echt beduidend sterker. Deze impact machine komt met flinke schroeven in hout draaien niet verder dan mijn DF457DWE die ik ook niet zo snel meer zou aanschaffen. Accu's zijn toch relatief snel leeg tov LXT accu's. Maar wellicht voor minder zware klussen en/of hobbyist geschikt (overkapping bouwen met grote tellerkopschroeven trekt deze dus niet). Maar ik vraag me af waarom je dan deze zou kopen en niet een normale accuboormachine. Omdat wat compacter is misschien. Conclusie: niet slecht maar ook niet heel goed, waar voor je geld waarschijnlijk.

Be aware this product can’t be used with the common Makita 18v B series battery
I’m giving a low rating because even though other customers had the same issue the past with the tool not fitting the makita 18v B battery series the seller didn’t mention it in the product description!
