I wanted an office chair that would fit in my small office space.. I saw this chair, and took a chance that it would work. Once it was received I could see. It was packaged well heavy so be careful when lifting. I recommend to get a helper. Once opened I placed all the parts out to assemble I had it together in less than an hour. The directions are simple to read I love the fact that it works with my decor and doesn’t seem like an afterthought. I would have to say that you might want to get a small cushion to put in the bottom because after a while it does get kind of tiring on the bottom I think it was a good purchase . My con is that the back support is a little bit lower than I would prefer but other than that. It’s a perfect size. You can adjust the height, it haas wheels which I like and it. Is sturdy. This office chair was worth the price. The back of the chair matches my dining room set so if I need an extra setting it’s versatile enough that I could use it at my table the appearance of this chair makes it look more expensive than what I paid I’m very pleased and would recommend this item

this was easy to assemble. there were a couple of flaws in the wood but was able to correct it with a furniture marker. I did not have the same issues as others with broken or cracked wood. i have a smaller desk is in my dinning room/kitchen area that needed something that looked more like a piece of furniture than office equipment. This is perfect. Looks antique-ish and really finished the look so my area doesn't look sloppy. although i gave it 5 stars for comfort, i may update this... i do not work from home until tomorrow! we'll see how 8 hours of sitting in it works out but sitting it in briefly over the weekend it was very comfortable! the price is reasonable... i had seen "real" antique bankers chairs go for $2000-$4000 on line. less than $200 fits my budget and looks great!!! ***update*** 8 hours of comfort!!! Love it!!!

First chair arrived with shipping box in horrible condition. Took pics before opening in case contents were damaged. After opening box, instantly realized they sent me a RETURNED ITEM! It was the wrong box too so they knew it was a return. Everything in box was previously opened, hardware box empty with nuts and bolts loose in shipping box. Returned of course. Second chair came in proper box and brand new. Now to the assembly. It was pretty straight forward as far as instructions go, BUT - NONE of the holes in the wood line up correctly! I fought the seat back mounting to the base for awhile. Had to put only 2 threads started at a time and tap back and forth to get a second bolt started and so on. Came very close to stripping a couple of them. Next, the arms were almost impossible. Finally, was able to start 2 threads where arm mounted to back and then pull as hard as I could to get a bolt started where it mounts to the seat. I'm no weakling, routinely do heavy lifting but this took most of my strength to line up those holes. Both arms were equally difficult. Everything else was a piece of cake. Once assembled, I really like the chair, classic old school style, very well constructed. Not plush but comfortable.

Very nice looking chair in front of our roll top desk. It is very comfortable, nice back support and easily adjusts from one height to another. Is wide enough and strong enough to hold my husband and the cats like it too.

Bought this to replace a chair (also bought from Amazon few years ago) in my home office. The other old chair is still in good condition but I wanted something that looks more classic and this seemed to fit the bill. The chair arrived fast enough. The assembly was a bit tricky because of the screws attaching the arm rest to the back were not easily accessible for tightening, but nothing that I would consider as major flaw. The chair looked great after the assembly was completed. Happy with finally getting the chair I wanted, I tried sitting on it and that is when I found out that looks are pretty much the only good characteristics of this chair. The up/down (elevation) and lock/release ( tilt) functions do not work. (Well, they do sometimes if you get lucky, but most of the times, you find yourself unlucky after wrestling with it for a while and end up giving up on it.) I have assembled quite a few of these types of chairs over the years so I am pretty sure that is not a matter of a faulty assembly operation. What is worse is that the chair is awfully uncomfortable. Sure, the seat cushion is soft but the chair is so rigid and unmaneuverable that it renders it practically useless from a practical standpoint. So, I brought back my old chair into the office and parked this one behind a decorative stationary desk that sits in the corner of our living room because the thought of disassembling and putting it back in the box for the purpose of returning it to Amazon proved to be unbearable. Overall, this a good looking but poorly designed product. I would not have purchased had I known what I do now.

The chair is beautiful and is exactly what I wanted. It is adjustable in height and comfortable. The wood stain looks gorgeous. Assembly was fast and easy. If I had to fuss, it would be those cheap, generic wheels that come with it, the same cheap wheels that come on every other office chair. I bought some new gliding wheels here on Amazon and they made the chair absolutely perfect.

Such a nice-looking chair. The fruitwood color is a little darker than my monitor showed it, which I'm happy about. It took me about 40 minutes to assemble it, and it complements my old desk so well. It is comfortable to sit in, and sturdy with good back support with an added lumbar pillow. I can't wait to get my whole workspace set up in the sunny window!

I've had this chair for just over 3 years now. Recently something "popped" in the adjustment apparatus, and now it's very unstable, and needs to be replaced. Now, used this for work, so I was sitting it in all day M-F, and sometimes on Saturday and Sunday (home office). The good part is that this chair is what it is. You're probably not going to want to sit on it for 4-5 hours straight, after 60 to 90 minutes you're GOING to want to get up and move around. And it is a nice, classic looking chair.

Being with hands of multiple tums it very easy to assemble, but if you buy the recommended caster it is abit of work to install. The only comment is that the chair does not incline back that much, but the product is just great finish is perfect and fitting is excellent

"Für den Preis, kann das nichts sein", dachte ich. "Und dann kommt das auch noch aus Übersee? Inkl. Zoll und Allem? Niemals!" Aber wie heißt es so schön: No risk, no fun. Und siehe da: Der Stuhl ist überraschend gut verarbeitet, zu Zweit in 30 Minuten zusammengebaut, alles funktioniert, und er trägt sogar mein Gewicht von fast 140kg. Von den beschriebenen chemischen Ausdunstungen bemerke ich nichts. Werder geruchlich, noch anderweitig. Super, grade wenn man betrachtet, das ähnliche Stühle bei 700 Euro beginnen. Bleibt zu sehen wie der Langzeittst ausfällt. Ich werde berichten!

This chair was exactly as advertised. Assembly was relatively painless and when finished, I had a very solid and great looking chair.

Sitzt sich gut und wenn man über Erfahrungen im Möbelaufbsu verfügt, ist derZusammenbau schnell erledigt. Leider war das Gewinde einer Schraube lädiert, so daß ich diese ersetzen mußte.

Really like this chair now that we finally got it together. Shipping came in good time. The box and chair came damaged though:( The chair has wood chipped away on back frame sadly. Assembly: It was very hard to line up the holes! Even the instructions had boot marks on them, so wondering if this had been a returned product? Was a frustrating job to put together. With determination we achieved getting it together. It is comfortable and looks nice now, but overall for money spent had hoped for a better experience.
