Great boat
Great boat tracks. Nice get you into the shallows and off in the weeds. Lots of places for poles and accessories. Dry storage is nice. Seat is very comfortable even if you just have it on the beach. Crate quality well made great price

Amazing for the price
This is my very first expensive fishing kayak. A lot of people told me to avoid this kayak because the HD was so bad. I figured I’d do it anyway for the price and boy I don’t regret it at all. I’ve been fishing out of this kayak for about 3 months now and i havnt had a single issue. It is light weight so wind does effect it but if you get a good power pole and anchor you shouldn’t have any problems. My next plan for it is to find a way to rig a troller on the front. EDIT: I have owned and used the kayak for almost a year now. I have ran into some minor things: the pedals eventually started squeaking really bad and there is no solid fix for it besides getting a hobie drive to replace it with. My temporary solution is marine grease on the chains and zipper lube on the cables it last about 3 outings in fresh water and 1 in the salt before squeaking again. Another issue is that the bottom of the kayak gets gouged very easily towards the back and the plastic is not very thick. I’ve also had problems with water condensation on the inside of it I’m not sure if all kayaks do this or not but my fix is to put sponges in the back hatch to absorb it. The rudder cables also loosen very easily requiring constant retightening and I eventually see replacing them in the future. Other than those small things I have had no major issues I have taken the kayak in really rough water conditions with high winds and it does great. The kayak is SUPER stable the secondary stability is amazing when taking a wave to the side or leaning over. I have gone offshore in the ocean with this thing and I am as confident as I would be in a hobie.

Nice Fishing/Hunting Yak!
Nice boat, very comfortable for a full day out. The seat is great. A small complaint is that it is tough to load/unload/get in the water with just one person due to its size and rounded hull design (slick). Weight is great for such a large boat. So far the Hydryve II has worked very well. The rear "waterproof" compartment is not waterproof, even with the supplied liner. I rarely use it anyway but would get a small dry bag if it was used. The boat is very stable on the water and everything is nicely configured regarding storage compartments. All in all, this is a nice pedal drive yak for a reasonable price. Of course my boat was gouged on the bow by Amazon's shipping. Didn't want to deal with the hassle of trying to return it and rolling the dice on ordering another, so I kept it.

It's been a great investment
I have spent many hours on lakes and rivers with this kayak, the option of padding and peddling has upped my workouts without being totally exhausted

Poor design of pedal drive
On my third time using the kayak one of the pedal drives fins popped out as the bolt holding it in place snapped. Would’ve held there under tension if the joint it was pushed into was made of metal but it was plastic so the inside of the joint is now worn down and loose. Not to mention the kayak itself handles terribly without the pedal drive and tends to spin in circles. I contacted the manufacturer and have yet to get a response. I should’ve just gotten a jon boat for the price. Other features were nice like the rod holders and storage spots but i bought it for the pedal drive and that broke in less than 4 hours of total use.

Fantastic!!
Fantastic entry level pedal kayak despite not have instant reverse. Kayaks tracks straight with the rudder deployed. I was mainly looking for a lightweight pedal kayak I can carry top and this fits that bill.

It works
It does normal kayak things, wish the fins were longer for more speed. Might mount a trolling motor. Very stable, comfort is mid, kinda heavy for one person, bit on the pricy side tho, can turn on a dime if you lean into it
