24MR400-B Monitor, 24 Inch, Full HD 100Hz, Matte Black

This monitor connects to my laptop to make a good desktop set up. The 24 inch screen is the perfect size for a small desk. The colours are bright and true. Highly recommended.

I ordered this in January of this year but i wanted to wait a few months before reviewing, and so far it’s still working really well. The screen size is fine for me, it was simple to set up and there’s nothing wrong with it as of now. There is no sound obviously because there isn’t speakers but i only use my headphones anyway :P. It’s also good for its price if you’re on a budget like me, although this is more of a temporary monitor more than one that would be used for many years.

Surprisingly 100Hz works out of the box on MacOS on my Mac mini M1. I'm comparing it to an iMac M1, which has a 4.5k screen which is a lot more detailed and has better colour, but for some reason I found VERY stressful to use (too much information?).This monitor has much less resolution, so text is blurrier, but still overall usable, and most importantly I don't seem to get stressed using it, due to it having almost 6x less pixels at a similar size. Odd I know, but given my health I think I'm going to stick with this screen, at least for now. If you're just looking for a cheap screen you can't go wrong with this. Solid, uniform IPS panel, 100Hz, HDMI with headphone pass-through and YouTube videos look great. What more could you want for £90?

Excellent Monitor with Great Features and Minor DrawbacksI recently purchased the LG Electronics Monitor 24MR400-B, and after using it for a few weeks, I am quite pleased with its performance. Here’s a detailed breakdown of my experience with this monitor:Display QualityThe display quality of this monitor is impressive. The Full HD 1080p resolution provides sharp and clear images, making it perfect for both work and entertainment. The IPS panel ensures vibrant colors and wide viewing angles, which is great for watching movies or working on graphic design projects. The colors are accurate and consistent, and the overall picture quality is excellent.Smooth PerformanceOne of the standout features of this monitor is its 100Hz refresh rate and 5ms GtG response time. These specifications make it ideal for gaming and fast-paced activities. The high refresh rate ensures smooth and fluid motion, reducing screen tearing and stuttering. The quick response time minimizes motion blur, providing a better gaming experience. Additionally, the AMD FreeSync technology helps to eliminate screen tearing and stuttering, further enhancing the overall performance.Design and Build QualityThe design of the LG 24MR400-B is sleek and modern. The slim bezels give it a clean and minimalist look, making it a great addition to any workspace or gaming setup. The build quality is solid, and the monitor feels sturdy and well-constructed. The stand is stable and provides good support, although it lacks height adjustment, which might be a drawback for some users.Connectivity OptionsThis monitor comes with a variety of connectivity options, including HDMI and VGA ports. This makes it easy to connect to different devices, such as laptops, desktops, and gaming consoles. The inclusion of multiple ports is convenient and adds to the versatility of the monitor. However, it would have been nice to have a DisplayPort option as well.User-Friendly FeaturesThe on-screen control menu is intuitive and easy to navigate. Adjusting settings such as brightness, contrast, and color balance is straightforward. The monitor also includes several preset modes for different activities, such as gaming, reading, and watching movies. These presets are useful and help to optimize the display settings for various tasks.Energy EfficiencyThe LG 24MR400-B is energy-efficient, which is a great feature for those who are conscious about their energy consumption. It has an energy-saving mode that reduces power usage without compromising on performance. This is a thoughtful addition that helps to reduce electricity bills and environmental impact.Minor DrawbacksWhile I am generally satisfied with this monitor, there are a few minor drawbacks worth mentioning. Firstly, the lack of height adjustment on the stand can be inconvenient for some users. It would have been nice to have more flexibility in adjusting the monitor’s position for optimal comfort. Secondly, the built-in speakers are not very powerful. They are adequate for basic use, but for a better audio experience, external speakers or headphones are recommended.ConclusionOverall, the LG Electronics Monitor 24MR400-B is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a high-quality monitor with great features. Its impressive display quality, smooth performance, and sleek design make it a standout option. While there are a few minor drawbacks, such as the lack of height adjustment and mediocre built-in speakers, these do not significantly detract from the overall experience. I highly recommend this monitor to anyone in need of a reliable and versatile display for work, gaming, or entertainment.

Really nice sized screen.

Really nice monitor. I use it for my PS5 at my desk and it looks really nice! Doesn't have built in speakers, so I had to buy some to plug into the audio jack port. No USB port at the back either, so if I want to connect another device like my iPad, I will need an adapter. The monitor settings are accessed by tilting the power button that's like a joystick. It has screen mode settings like game, picture, cinema, reader mode, and modes for power saving too. I think it's really cool it all comes from one button so I don't have to fiddle around behind the TV to press the right one.The monitor leans forward at a tilt by default. Manual up/down tilt is possible but requires a bit of firm force.

Reasonably priced monitor which looks good on desk. Good resolution and colours. Easy to assemble and set up. Would have liked the height to be adjustable. Would recommend.

Can’t go wrong with LG tbf. This monitor was as described. 1080p 60hz looks great via HDMI on Xbox etc. Great for attaching monitor arm mount. Easy enough to play with settings through on/off switch at the back. Headphone jack was so important. Great for headphones or speakers. Exactly what I was after thank you.

Good for this budget
