Black Cobra
The movie's all right, but the image quality is very poor unfortunately, I expected more from him, a simple menu, but it should not be missing from your collection

NOW IT'S TIME TO ACT
Robert Malone (Fred Williamson) a cop who lives by his own rules, is assigned to protect a pretty photographer (Eva Grimaldi) from a gang of gang raping and killer bikers lead by a man who looks like Richard Kiel in a black Michael Jackson gangster jacket. It was pretty cool in its day, but gangs wearing new looking jackets is Hollywood. The film doesn't show the rape and the killing is not graphic. In fact the whole vigilante cop thing wasn't well done. Available on numerous multi-packs. VHS transfer hasn't been that good.Guide: Not much swearing. Brief nudity.

Venomless.
Before I start I'd like to point out that I'm writing this review after witnessing the version of 'The Black Cobra' with Fred Williamson's face reflected in an engine on the front cover, marketed by GMVS.It's horrendous, I've got VHS tapes that are 25 years old that are better quality than this abomination, I realise that GMVS can only work with the mastertape that they've got to hand but someone along the line should've said 'Are we really going to sell this low quality garbage to the public?'.If the film was made in the 60s or 70s, I could accept it but it's from 1987, also, if this DVD appears because you've typed in 'Blaxploitation', don't believe it, Williamson is the only black dude in it.The film itself? It's run of the mill maverick cop who plays by his own rules and damn the consequences that were ten a penny in the 80s.AVOID!!!
