This is an amazing new invention in the world of packaging. Hitherto, cans were sealed by machines that spun them around and folded the closing end over the tin to form a conventional tin can. The machines are expensive and the procedure cumbersome. This meant that small producers or businesses could not use tin cans to market their wares. Now, with the revolutionary new design by Guy Grumbridge, all that could change and is, indeed, already changing. Grumbridge has designed a lid that is just pressed into the tin can to seal it shut. So far, Pressitin – as it is called – has been used only for dry products and their range is wide indeed. You are able to can anything from a diamond necklace to wrapped sweets to mints to pen drives to socks and ties. Just press the seal in and your goods are safe from tamper or spilling. The lucky company which holds the patent for this unique sealing device is working on a version that will be suitable for liquid and pressurized filling too. If you are a small business and want to can your produce, you can now do so thanks to Pressitin!
