Revlon Colorstay Longwear Permanent Cream Colour

A fantastic, non-brassy, dark blonde colour. I’m too old (mid fifties) to get away with my natural dark brown hair colour, as I don’t want to look like a witch! But I don’t to be blonde, as I look too washed out with fair hair. So this is my new colour! I’ve tried them all, professional colours, box dyes. This is the one I’m sticking with. It is your usual box dye kit, but with an extra item which I LOVE - a revitalising colour-enhancing conditioner to use a few weeks after you’ve dyed it. It is so effective and completely refreshes the colour. I’ve even bought it as a separate item as it’s so good. I thought it was a bit of a gimmick, but it’s fantastic. My hair feels fantastic, even my husband commented how soft it feels. He can’t stop playing with my hair and so no complaints from me! My hair is shiny, sleek, manageable and very little damage. I’m so incredibly pleased with this product.

Good colour , little fade.

Works really well, fast colouring! Left it on for the full 30 mins but I don't think it needed that long. Cool chocolate is what I ordered but it dyed my hair darker! In some light it looks almost black! *Great if you want Dark brown. Comfortable on the scalp unlike some dyes that make me itch or sting, this one was no problem. Fresh smelling hair. Feels and looks healthy! Will buy again but I might get a lighter shade knowing it goes dark! My hair was a faded reddish brown before with natural growth, mousey brown and grey roots, it has covered All of that brilliantly! My hair length is medium just past shoulder length hair and I bought two boxes, I used a bottle and a half, this goes quite far unlike some dyes. For the price I'm quite impressed! Just a little darker than expected. Hoping after a wash or two the colour will tone down a shade to what it shows on the box. Would recommend this brand. Very impressed as I usually use other common box dye brands, this didn't disappoint on quality. Definitely worth the bargain price!

One of the best Colour is easy to put on , great coverage. Covers Grey perfectly. Leaves hair soft and silky. The Colour enhancement was an added bonus

Pros: Colour matches the box, a lot of browns have copper undertones, this one does not. See 1st pic in natural day light. Easy to mix and apply Washes off skin easily Smell is subtle and fresh Conditioner leaves hair soft and shiny. Cons: Gloves are tiny. I have small hands and they barely reached my wrists Dye leaves hair coarse and sticky. Conditioner does correct this but rinsing the dye out before applying conditioner is difficult While it dyes greys, these are noticeably lighter in colour than the rest and the colour does seem to fade there faster too. Bit disappointing as the promise of colouring grey is why I tried the product. See pic 2. Lighter brown is where greys are shining through. Overall a decent dye but it's no better on grey hair than most others I've tried.

Easy to use, colours really well, smells lovely, conditioner brilliant

I’m really happy with this dye, the colour is perfect. It’s not too dark (anything labelled ‘brown’ is so dark!) and is close to the natural mousy colour my hair used to be. It seems to cover my greys, although perhaps not always completely - although this could be down to my hasty application! Coverage of my dark roots is always good. My favourite part is the toner that comes with it which you use after 3-4 weeks to refresh the colour. It really helps!
