Splat Midnight Violet Semi Permanent Hair Dye Kit for Blondes

My favorite color. I've tried countless others, but, I always come back to this one. Works really well on dark hair. Keep it coming

Literally didn’t do anything to my roots and only toned the color I had on my head. Very disappointed. It looks like it didn’t do anything. My brows are also uneven.. my stylist will fix it for me but this is the first time I’ve had an issue with splat. Applying it went on dark, but it literally just all washed off.

The color took after two applications each lasting an hour. The purple-ish lasted for maybe 15-washes. What was left wasn't the blond I started with but a chlorine green coloration. Which has to be fixed using a light brown dye.

The hair diy was wattery an looked violet untill i put it on my hair ( my hair was very light bloned ) an it ened up turing my hair an very grayesh blue an not violet at all . but all an all it still looked really good .but will not get again

Wow, it was quite messy because I messed up on how to do it, but it still turned out good and I love it thinking I will keep it this color for a while very easy to do except for you have to read the directions they’re different than other dyes.

I use Splat regularly and have loved it nearly every time. My usual colour is the Midnight Amethyst but there was a point I couldn't find it so I was open to trying others. This one (Midnight Violet) was a real let-down. I thought to try it b/c I really only needed to cover my roots, the rest of my hair still has plenty of tint. Now, granted, the others I use specify that they're "best for brunettes" and this doesn't but I expected it would at least do a decent job of hiding a few greys. Not so much. It was extremely thin & watery, which is *very* odd for Splat brand; it's usually quite thick & stays on well. We used the entire bottle, another anomaly as there's usually some left. I typically cover my hair & let it sit for ~45 min. I left this on for well over 90 minutes and it still didn't really show any difference. Only plus side is that it didn't make my shower look like a crime scene but honestly I'd rather clean the shower & have good colour on my hair. All in all, I definitely would NOT try this shade again, at any cost. I see it's not even available now, hopefully they pulled it to improve it.

This did not work at all, I was so disappointed. I have used Splat, with great results, for years now, but this color/formula, Midnight Violet, was a complete bust & a complete waste of money, I was so let down. I wonder if it was just a bad batch? I have naturally black hair, gradually getting white strands, turning to streaks at the temples, so I'm thrilled to finally be getting hair I can color without having to damage it with bleach to lighten enough to take any color. Splat has worked great for this (Manic Panic never seemed to work). I have tried many of the colors I like which are available in local Walgreens but found some different ones here online, so thought I'd give them a try, but neither of the ones I chose was what was expected. This one, Midnight Violet, I wondered about immediately upon use, since it didn't stain any of my skin (which Splat usually does, no matter how hard you try to avoid it), & it didn't stain any of the sink, even a little bit. As soon as I towel dried my hair & looked in the mirror, I could tell it hadn't done anything. Once my hair dried, I could definitely tell, where I had applied it, my hair was still white. Again, I was so disappointed, it was a total waste of time & money. Again, I wonder if it was just a bad batch. It was colorful but didn't stain anything, at all. I've just bought another of the purple Splat I've used before, which I know works & should have bought in the first place, but I was hoping for a lighter color this time, which is why I tried Midnight Violet.

Nicest purple hair dye I’ve tried! I have medium-light blonde hair, not lightened, it looked exactly like the photo on the box. I left it on for 6 hours, it did fade pretty fast like most temporary dyes, but it faded to a nice lavender. All other purple dyes this shade (manic panic, ion) all faded to green or greeney-gray. They say splat is bad for hair but it feels just as soft, shiny and healthy as before.

Awful. Was like gel .. did not colour hair at all. Time and money wasted never had this issue with Splat before . I would suggest not buying Splat from this vendor

Smells GREAT but the color isn’t very strong and barely lasted 2 washes (even with cold water).

The product was supposed to be violet. It went on purple but when rinsed it turned blue. Thankfully it was only for colouring under half the hair.
