Splat Midnight Violet Semi Permanent Hair Dye Kit for Blondes

The color is vibrant and makes it thru multiple washes

Literally didn’t do anything to my roots and only toned the color I had on my head. Very disappointed. It looks like it didn’t do anything. My brows are also uneven.. my stylist will fix it for me but this is the first time I’ve had an issue with splat. Applying it went on dark, but it literally just all washed off.

Wow, it was quite messy because I messed up on how to do it, but it still turned out good and I love it thinking I will keep it this color for a while very easy to do except for you have to read the directions they’re different than other dyes.

I followed instructions, but used my root applicator bottle. Much easier to do by myself. I start at the crown, always, but it didn't cover the gray there or on the sides of my hair, which is shorter than the length. I still have some left, so I'll do the crown, sides and some in the back where the gray didn't get covered. UPDATE: July 23, 2026 I used the rest of the dye and left it on for 4 hours. Just rinsed it out, shampoo'd and conditioned and still have gray hair mixed in with purple, if that's what you call it. More like dark magenta. Very disappointing!

The color took after two applications each lasting an hour. The purple-ish lasted for maybe 15-washes. What was left wasn't the blond I started with but a chlorine green coloration. Which has to be fixed using a light brown dye.

The hair diy was wattery an looked violet untill i put it on my hair ( my hair was very light bloned ) an it ened up turing my hair an very grayesh blue an not violet at all . but all an all it still looked really good .but will not get again

My daughter is loving this semi permanent hair dye. It was easy to apply and looks great. Not an overwhelming color and it is holding up awesome to the washes. Would definitely buy again.

My daughter has dark blonde hair and this color did not show on her hair at all. Pretty much washed $10 down the sink. We’ve tried the Midnight Tanzanite color by Splat and that color worked so I’m not sure what the problem was.

Nicest purple hair dye I’ve tried! I have medium-light blonde hair, not lightened, it looked exactly like the photo on the box. I left it on for 6 hours, it did fade pretty fast like most temporary dyes, but it faded to a nice lavender. All other purple dyes this shade (manic panic, ion) all faded to green or greeney-gray. They say splat is bad for hair but it feels just as soft, shiny and healthy as before.

Awful. Was like gel .. did not colour hair at all. Time and money wasted never had this issue with Splat before . I would suggest not buying Splat from this vendor

Smells GREAT but the color isn’t very strong and barely lasted 2 washes (even with cold water).

The product was supposed to be violet. It went on purple but when rinsed it turned blue. Thankfully it was only for colouring under half the hair.
