Invaluable if you have dogs
Bought this as my previous one has snapped. I really wasn't expecting much for the price but was pleasantly surprised. This is relatively lightweight but also extremely durable. Once opened up it is easy and quick to assemble and all the straps can be adjusted. It has zips at either end as well so that it can be zipped up at both ends protecting your doors from being scratched. I have leather seats so needed something hard wearing. I have 2 jack russells and they seem to like it. With the mesh pocket in the middle that sits over the aircon unit at the back of the centre console it means that the airflow goes through keeping the dogs cool. It also has padding on it making it more comfortable to lie on. I've taken the boys to the beach in this and once back any and has stayed within the cover which I've just shaken out preventing sand ending up on the seats and floor. Great product

Good value for the money
Bought this "hammock" style seat cover to replace a cover that fixes to the headrests and covers the seat falling into the footwell. The intention was to stop my dogs falling into the footwell if I had to brake sharply (rather than use harnesses), which it will do, but added advantage is it stops them coming onto the front seats when left in the car - which over time has caused some minor damage to the seat facings. Fitting was unsurprisingly very quick and easy, four loops round the head rests and two securing straps between the back seats into the boot - 5 minutes. The head rest straps are located at the right distance to give good tension on the cover. There is a small pocket provided behind the driver's seat and this is probably better than the pocket and net on similar products as nothing to catch claws. The cover is wide enough to cover the width of the rear seat in my Skoda Yeti. There are two zipped panels on the sides that fold up to form a box with straps to go through the grab handles in the roof which might be useful to help avoid claw marks if you have fabric side panels in the doors but would make getting dogs, and particularly larger dogs, in and out. My only very slight criticism is that it doesn't go all the way up the back seats stopping a couple of inches short of the head restraints but I don't really see this as being a problem. The cover seems well made and only time will tell how well it washes and lasts but for around £20 if it lasts a year it's a small investment to protect the seats. I would recommend this product.

The Ultimate Dog Car Seat Cover for a Safe and Clean Ride: Taygeer Dog Car Seat Cover Review
I recently purchased the Taygeer Dog Car Seat Cover, Dog Car Hammock with Mesh Window and Side Flaps, and I must say it has been a game-changer for our furry travel companion. Easy to install and offering a plethora of useful features, this seat cover has made our car rides more enjoyable, safe, and hygienic. First and foremost, the main reason I opted for this particular seat cover was its focus on safety. The mesh window allows our dog to see us and feel connected while ensuring that they remain securely in the backseat. Additionally, the adjustable side flaps prevent our dog from attempting to jump into the front seats, keeping our attention solely on the road. I can genuinely say that this car hammock provides peace of mind when it comes to a safe journey with our pet. One of the most significant benefits of this seat cover is its exceptional ability to trap dog hair. No matter how much our dog sheds, the Taygeer Car Seat Cover effortlessly catches and contains all the loose hair, saving our car's interior from becoming a furry mess. Gone are the days of laborious cleaning sessions after every car ride! Moreover, accidents happen, especially during long journeys. The waterproof nature of this seat cover has undoubtedly saved us from potential headaches. It effectively keeps any bodily fluids or liquids from reaching the car's upholstery, making clean-up hassle-free. We simply remove the cover, wipe it down, and we're good to go! The added perk of keeping the car dry and clean is undoubtedly a bonus we appreciate. Lastly, observing how happy and content our dog is while riding on this seat cover is a true testament to its quality. The comfortable padding and hammock-style design make every ride enjoyable for our furry friend. They genuinely seem excited every time we head towards the car, as if they know they're in for a treat. Overall, the Taygeer Dog Car Seat Cover has exceeded our expectations in terms of safety, cleanliness, and providing a comfortable travel experience for our dog. It eliminates the stress of a messy car interior and allows us to focus on the road with peace of mind. If you're looking for a high-quality, practical, and pet-friendly car seat cover, this is undoubtedly an investment worth making.

I wish I’d known about these years ago!
This is an excellent idea! We’ve been using it for about a month most days and it’s come in very handy with a puppy! Really easy to set up in the car, hidden passthroughs for seatbelts and can fit most back seats (even if my partners Fiat is a bit smaller than ideal!). The various configurations you can set it up in via a number of zips are definitely appreciated too! This has already prevented a few stains as the little one grows out of the motion sickness! The only reason for the 4 stars is it’s a bit more effort to clean than suggested, but don’t let that put you off! Would definitely recommend to puppy owners at the very least!

Fits a Prius 04, so far durable enough for 2 American Bulldogs.
I got this for my 2004 Toyota prius, it fits like a glove. Any smaller wouldn't have been suitable for the car. I have two american Bulldogs. I needed smthg that would last. I've been using it for a week daily and so far I've just quickly brushed the dried mud, hair and stick bits off the cover and it still looks quite clean. No rips and no sign of imminent damage despite supporting 80kg total of excited fluff. I dont like the velcro opening for the seatbelt points as every single car cover I have had those were where the fabric ripped. I left them untouched and got car seatbelts for dogs that attach to the head rest. It seems durable enough. I wish the seat anchor where not made of plastic. They looked metal in the picture and that was a disappointment as they feel they could bend and snap. Hasn't happened yet though. My dogs don't have quite a good grip on the fabric and slide around on it when I turn or break too fast. Those are big dogs with a lot of weight and momentum though. They are getting used to it slowly. One of my dog is quite anxious in the car and tries everything to climb over and sit on my lap. A 40kg lap dog isnt ideal or safe whilst driving so I was keen on having a grid as I thought it would help him to be able to see me. I dont feel it has made much of difference as he is so big he can just sit up and see above it. But I do believe it makes a difference with the air flow to the back. I will pop an update up if anything snaps or break within an unreasonable time for the type of extreme use I get out of it. It has lasted me longer than my first cover already (yes, my first cheap one lasted less than a week before the backing started to crumble and the fabric RIP at the seams...) Edit: after 6 months, my monsters have done their deeds; the velcro for the seat belt clip has ripped and all the dirt falls down onto the seats The mesh screen has ripped so many times, it is just a gap, the anchors didnt break, overall good quality. Lasted longer than any others I bought.

Excellent car hammock for dogs
Well made item, feels good and strong. The hammock can be fitted into the car in a minute or two and stays in place to provide a nice safe travel pen for a dog (or dogs) in the rear of the cabin. Handy if you need to keep the boot free and/or have a young pup as I do, which you wish to prevent from getting into mischief or difficulty during the journey. There's no chance of him wriggling into somewhere he shouldn't and becoming stuck, nor of him falling off the slippy leather bench during braking. My little fella hasn't got used to the car yet and slobbers copiously while we're driving, and the hammock wipes clean and dry afterwards with a sheet of kitchen roll, and it'll also cope easily if he decides to pee on the move any time. The mesh panel makes it easy to glance over my shoulder and check on him whenever it's safe to do so, plus it's a simple job to unclip one end and drop the flap for him to get in and out. This is an ideal way for dogs, particularly puppies or older dogs who are nervous in the car, to travel safely.

Affordable but poorly fitting and some design flaws. Doesn't feel secure.
Probably does the job if you're not too concerned about how it actually fits into your car or offering any kind of stability. Material is thin aside from the base, which is backed by a textured, rubbery extra layer to help it grip the seat which sort of seemed to work. Because the rest is quite thin, all the sides are pretty floppy and have no structure. When the sides are buckled up around the headrests with enough tension to keep them straight or upright, it instead tends to lift the base off of the seat. Relaxing them enough to make sure the base sits down makes the sides droop. The two end pieces are held up by a webbing strap that you loop around the handle above the car door. If your car or truck doesn't have them, there's no other easy way to keep the sides up. In my car - a VX Mokka - the straps aren't even long enough to do this job. At their full length, the handle is permanently pulled down which over time will ruin the spring, and the base is still pulled into the air, off of the seat. I'd need to fashion my own extender, at which point, again, the sides will instead droop and are likely way too tempting to chew for puppies. The zips at the corners for access are on the inside, and I'm not sure if that's a flaw or not. The hammock does come with two elastic straps and round anchor pieces to help hold the base back into the seats, but these are not easy to just shut into the seam of the seat, so I have previously used the ISOfix bars to hold them in place, but this pulls the hammock to an angle on the seat in my particular car, so it no longer sits evenly on the back bench, and puts the velcro openings for the seatbelt sockets out of alignment to comfortably use. Positives - the stitching all looked good, the mesh panel at the front was nice and it is quick and easy to fold down at the front, if not anywhere else. The textured rubber underside is a nice feature that seemed to have some benefit. Fundamentally, it is the item pictured and will do the basic job of covering the back bench in the car, and I got it at a very good price compared to similar items. However the fitting for this did not agree with my model of car at all and the design seemed flawed. The experience has taught me that perhaps this backseat hammock style is not for me. So far my puppy has been travelling in a booster seat with a solid box frame with rigid sides and when strapped in it does not move or fold at all. This seems very unsecure in comparison, more fiddly to put in place or take down, and makes the whole back bench annoying to use for human passengers. I am instead pursuing a larger booster seat option to provide security as well as keep some of the back bench accessible for other purposes.
