Hi Does anyone know how many m2 this would cover ?

hi I had a 4 ltr tin and I gave a 3mx2m flat roof two coats and still had 1.50ltrs left. consertrated on joints ,good product.

Is this definitely waterproof? When applying it appears to be like regular paint and washes off skin and brushes as normal with water...?

Have used Thompsons 10 year Roof Seal on many occasions over the years and it is a very good roof waterproof seal if used in accordance with their instructions. It will not for instance last for the guarantee period if there is any standing water or 'poncing' on the roof. As it is water based the paint does give the impression that it is a standard type paint but when fully dry it a a good roof seal.

Do i paint this straight onto wood or do i need to fit felt first?

If this is a new roof it must have felt fitted. If the felt is fitted correctly by a professional you will not need to use roof seal, as all the joints will be sealed. You will only need to use a roof seal when the roof starts to wear and show signs of ageing. This is then painted onto the felt to stop leaks.

How soon can I paint my felt cabin roof with Thompson’s after applying spear and Jackson algie spray

I did not use Algiers spray But the paint was fine no problems

This is the best roof sealant we have used

This is the best roof sealant we have used for our shed roofs. Once we found this product we have not used any other…we have 4 roofs to maintain and would highly recommend it to others.

Possibly not going to last 10 years but!

I've used this product before, both on a garage roof and a flat roof extension. It's quick and easy to apply and it works. In my experience it's been good for a couple of years (but I guess a lot depends on the condition of your flat roof before application). If they called it "Thompsons 2 year roof seal" I'd give 5 stars. Nonetheless, a good product! 👍
