Better than Plumbers Putty
Exactly what I needed when I installed my new garbage disposal. It fits like a glove and created a perfect waterproof seal. Much easier for installation than using plumber's putty and provides a very clean look. My opinion is that this seal is worth every penny and for the overall low cost, it's a no brainer. Perfect replacement for the old sink flange seal.

Worked Great and Less Messy than Putty or Silicone
I've used plumber's putty and silicone for the flange/sink seal with a garbage disposal and both do not last and are messy. This thin rubber gasket worked great for an InSinkErator Badger 5. It was not too thick so that the water did not pool in the sink as some complaints I read about using a gasket. We will see if it passes the test of time over the next few years.

Don't have to mess with putty
Worked accordingly - No leaks, good quality.

Better than putty
Installation of our InSinkErator garbage disposer was less complicated using this rubber seal. Putty is messy and it oozes out of the edges, so it is hard to know if you have the proper amount for a water tight seal. This rubber seal takes the mess and the guess work out of the installation.
