Get it!!! You won't regret it!!!
Absolutely a great buy! I bought this last year for archery and it is still dead on! I have had it out over 100 times and have sighted my targets with it 1,000's of times and I'm still on the original battery! I was NOT expecting much, but this thing was a HUGE surprise! It even has yor slope option so you can set your range accordingly! Recommend 100%!

Very compact and lightweight
The first thing I noticed after opening the box was the small size of this rangefinder; it is incredibly compact. It fits in the palm of my hand without touching any of my fingers. Itโs the winter season, so I havenโt had the opportunity to take it on a golf course, but I did take it out and practice with it. Here are my observations: Positives: โข Small & lightweight โข Easy to use โข Easy to focus โข Appears accurate, but I couldn't verify โข Measures distance and slope angle โข Comes with a belt case Negatives: โข No threads to use it with a tripod (when not golfing) โข Uses a disposable battery โข Difficult to see the display in conditions with low light or a dark background Regarding quality and features, this rangefinder is commensurate with most other golf rangefinders in its class. However, itโs probably not a good value at its price point. Some golf rangefinders cost less and have better features, such as 1,000-yard ranging and a lithium-ion rechargeable battery. In all fairness, the limitations regarding the display will also be present in other rangefinders in this class. Bottom line: If you need a rangefinder for golfing, this one will do the job and should serve you well.

Tried so hard to get a pic of the screen but..
This rangefinder is absolutely amazing. Reminds me of the one that Luke Skywalker used in the original Star Wars movie as he was looking out across the field only in a much smaller compact unit. The future is here than they thought it would be in 1977. This unit is nice small and compact and accurately describes how far away an item is I found that it works really well on shiny objects and supposedly locks into flags on the golf course very well as well however, I do not play golf anymore. I got this unit in order to tell how far away vehicles are and it works great for that. I kind of wish that the battery that is used in this wouldโve been USB rechargeable battery or one of the more common AA batteries or two however, these are the same batteries that you used in a lot of red dot sites on pistols and rifles so they are still fairly readily available and cheap. I like the included case with these should help keep it in good condition whenever I need to use it. Iโm very happy with this item and it is very similar to the less expensive vortex model used by hunters. The optic in this unit is quite clear, and the display is easy to read as it overlays on the lens. I recommend this item and if this is something you need definitely give it a try.

Usable and decent.
Overall this rangefinder is usable but a bit awkward. It comes with decent packaging and a battery. I just wish it was more capable. I have since upgraded to a different brand and will keep this as a backup. The lazer seems to work fine but I realized I wanted a rechargeable option with more capability. Would still recommend for an entry level rangefinder.

Range Finder
This is my first time owning an electronic range finder. The AOFAR GX-RF is a very compact, sporty lookoing unit. The industrial design is very good, it looks well-made and feels like it too, as well as functioning as it is outlined in the manual. The presentation and included manual continue the impression of quality for this item. It was actually unexpectedly small, only a little bigger than a computer mouse. It fits into the nicely-made included carrying case which has a couple of attachment options built in. This device can easily clip onto a golf-bag, a quiver, or tuck into a backpack with no fuss and hardly any weight. Gauging the distance using known measurements I found it to be accurate enough for my liking, within about a yard at 7 and 30 yards respectively. Overall, it's a reasonably priced, nice looking item with good functionality at least on the basic task of measuring distance. I haven't tried the golf-specific functions on it yet, but I look forward to it once the courses are open for the spring.

Suprisingly good for this price
This is a low priced range finder but you wouldn't know that when using it. It has a nice feel, is small, and it is easy to use. While golfing with a friend who had a GPS golf rangefinder, I found that the distance measurements that I read on this rangefinder where within about 3 yards of what he was reading on his GPS device. So I believe it is consistently accurate. It quickly locks in on the flag within a few seconds and I also found that I had no trouble holding it steady when looking through the viewfinder. The included case is adequate and the instruction booklet is easy to read and well written. I wasn't sure that I should give this rangefinder a five star review when it is this inexpensive but it does what it supposed to with very little effort, so I have no problem giving it a good rating.

Awesome!
I have a Bushnell one that I got in 2007. Now I admit, it STILL works fine and I love it. But it doesn't have ANYYYYYYY of the bells and whistles that this sucker has! Mine you just point and shoot and it tell you the number- that's it. This one is sick. you can use it literally on the green where you want to roll your ball to the hole and it will tell you exactly how many degrees of slope there is to the left or right lol. You can't miss haha!! I like how it shows from a long distance like idk 200 yards how much uphill or downhill it is because that's the difference between me dancing on the green and being 30 yards off. So I love it and can't WAIT to go out and use it again!

Screen can be a bit difficult to see with average lit characters.
This is an accurate tool to be used for your golf game, or hunting, or whatever, but the characters are not well lit on the screen. Images that are grey or neutral can obscure the numbers. Not much for features. Simply press the power button once and it comes on, no external LED indication, and then press again once the dot is centered on your target. It'll produce a yardage number or meter number, your choice. It's an ok product, not great. It's accurate and will mostly work fine for most applications. Definitely not night time. It comes in a nice box with a canvas case to attach to your bag so you don't lose it. The bag has a pushbutton release for the closing strap, a nice feature. The case/housing is made from a plastic that is a bit thin and looks "toyish". Not heavy duty durable plastic. Recommendation: It works for the price. If you need a quick accurate and easy to use rangefinder, this is definitely affordable and will do the job.

Accurate
Very happy with the rangefinder. Compared to my garmin watch and other big name brand rangefinders its accuracy is usually within a yard. My only small complaint is that the rangefinder is a little small in the hand which makes it a little awkward using at first. (but Iโve got used to it after a few rounds)

Does not work
Do not buy this. It doesn't work. You have to unscrew the battery every time you want to take a reading as it locks up after one reading...it's garbage. And because I bought it in the winter I can't return it... move on to a better product.

Hard to see measurements in the dark
This range finder is amazing in almost every way. It measures both distances and speeds, which is awesome. The magnetic clip is a nice touch - instead of keeping it in a belt pouch and having to open the pouch and take it out in the moment, you can just pull it off the clip. It's much faster and requires fewer movements, which counts in cases when you want to look at wildlife but don't want to spook it. It's also quite light, so you can hold it up to your face for long periods of time without getting a cramp in your arm. The eyepiece is a little tricky and requires some getting used to. Basically, I figured out that it's best not to press your eye to the eyepiece like you would do with binoculars - your eye should be about half an inch from the eyepiece for best results. I only have two complaints, but they are pretty big ones. First of all, the numbers in the viewfinder are black and can't be switched to any other color. So if you are looking at a dark background, you can't read the numbers at all. And the second one is that you can only switch between meters and yards, with no option for feet. I understand that this is meant for bigger distances, but the feet option seems so basic, I don't understand why it doesn't have it. If you don't need measurements in feet and are only looking at light backgrounds, this range finder is awesome and I would highly recommend it. But be aware of its limitations.

Hard to see in the dark, but great during day time
I wish it was even further than 600 yard so I can use in boating application, but I know it not meant for boating ;) I think it a well packaged product. Nice carring pouch that feel good quality. Include the needed battery. The product itself, I wish it wasn't made of mirror like plastic personally. It make it look a little bit cheap, and might show wear faster, but it still ok. I'm 6'5" and the unit is rather small for my hand, but I'm happy it small which make it easier to carry (which is what I would do with this unit most of the time). But a different fabric that 'stick' more to the hand would be nice. During daytime, the display is easy to read, but nothing to brag about ! It help when you adjust the len focus as well ! It my first one to use, so maybe it horrible, but it did the job it said it would do. So I'm happy.

Accurate and intuitive
This scope/rangefinder has everything this amateur golfer will need. Its very intuitive. You almost don't need to read the instructions, but I suggest you always read the instructions. Even for a spoon. You just never know what you'll learn. It's winter here in Canada, so there are no flags to be found anywhere. Instead, I tested it from my kitchen window against something that looked like a flag: my neighbor's vent stack. I could have easily taken the measurement in meters with the press of a button (to match google maps) but it was really hard to get this picture. Instead, I just did the conversion. Its off by a yard but what do I trust as being more accurate. Google (and my placement of the measuring tool) or this? Close enough for me, either way. And, even though Canada uses the metric system, for some reason, all of our golf courses still have yard markers, not meter markers (at least the ones I golf). I don't think I'll ever need to measure in meters. The product description is very informative on how to use this and all its features. I don't really want to waste your time just repeating that, so instead, I included some pictures of the instructions to fill in any gaps. This is my first range finder, so I can't compare to any others but the price is very good. The build quality looks solid. Looks like it could withstand drops. Nice and light in hand with the buttons positioned ergonomically (like playing a trumpet). It might get shaky trying to steady it on a flag that's 200yd away but I imagine that would be the case with all of them. The battery is not a common one (CR2) but its very easy to access. I suggest flipping it upside down between rounds (to prevent if from accidentally activating) and storing it in the pouch between seasons. I can't wait to get this out for a few rounds. 5 Stars for now. I'll come back and update this review if this needs some stars knocked off for any reason. Until then, thanks for reading this far.
