Sukh Sphagnum Moss for Reptiles - Green Terrarium Moss Substrate, 5oz

Excellent quality moss for our leopard gecko! It’s fluffy and lush and so easy to use. It’s retaining the moisture well without staying too wet. Our leopard gecko seems to love it, as she finally stopped kicking all the material out of her hide since we switched to this.

Moss. Moss on my plants, moss for my spiders. Smells like a river, looks like it was pulled out of a river, perfect. Quite a bit and flattened down nicely when shipped.

This comes dehydrated and you just have to get it wet. Smells like moss/earth. These people who claim it stinks, have never been outside or have never been to the forest. They are used to the New York City subways. Soak it, get it nice and fluffy, drain/squeeze the excess water, (maybe let it sit in the sun for a few hours) and you’re good to go. I will be using this as a background substrate for my vivarium I’m building

I purchased this product with the intention of creating a mossy hide for my snake, and overall, it worked well for that purpose. The dried moss has a vibrant color, looks semi-realistic, and has a decent texture. However, the main issue I encountered was how dusty it was—some of the moss had degraded into a powder at the bottom of the bag. Fortunately, the rest of it was in good condition and usable. Knowing it is reptile-safe and easy to work with, I’d say this is a good product for creating decorations or functional additions to reptile enclosures. It also retains moisture well, making it a great option for a humid shedding cave. That said, I wouldn’t recommend this for reptiles that enjoy eating greens or licking their environment due to its brittle texture and resemblance to edible vegetation. For other uses, though, it works just fine and serves its purpose effectively.

This stuff was amazing, my daughter just got a lizard and we bought this to include in its cage. A quick soak and boom!

I ordered this moss to put into the humid hide for my leopard gecko. The package arrived in perfect condition. I've never delt with sphagnum moss before, so I was a little shocked to see the vacuumed sealed bag. After cutting it open I expected it to instantly fluff, but that wasn't the case. I tore a bit off and fluffed it up and it easily tranformed into the perfect bedding for my humid hide. It's soft, yet sturdy and adds a good level of comfort for my gecko while helping to maintain the humidity of the enclosure. I misted it to test the humidity level and was just what we needed! The price is great and the moss will last us a good while since it doesn't take much to fill our humid hide. Overall this is a great buy and I highly recommend!

Das Moos ist von sehr guter Qualität und eignet sich perfekt für das Terrarium. Es speichert die Feuchtigkeit hervorragend, bleibt lange frisch und schafft ein natürliches Klima. Außerdem lässt es sich leicht auslegen und sieht optisch sehr schön aus. Meine Schlange nutzt den feuchten Bereich regelmäßig, und das Moos erfüllt seinen Zweck zuverlässig. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist top und ich werde es bei Bedarf definitiv wieder kaufen. Klare Kaufempfehlung!
