He’s really into Hot Wheels, and this one instantly became one of the favourites in the rotation. It’s sturdy, easy to set up, and actually holds his attention - which says a lot. He enjoys being destructive and the whole “charge and smash” idea is right up his street. He’s played with it loads and it hasn’t shown any signs of giving up yet. If you’ve got a kid who loves Hot Wheels or monster trucks, this is a fun, reliable set that gets plenty of use. Happy with it and he absolutely loves it.

We never purchase hot wheels monster trucks so thought we would give this one a go for my sons birthday. It looks great and the concept is great but it just doesn’t seem to work very well. The part where the 5 normal hot wheels cars sit, only one side opens out as the monster truck smashes through and then more often than not the truck is then not able to apply enough pressure for the crane to move and open up the tyre.. these parts come assembled (other than the actual tyre part) so not sure it is builder error as such. Its such a shame as the quality remains good but it obviously doesn’t work as well as it should.
