ZonLi Japanese Floor Mattress, 100% Cotton Cover Foldable Futon Mattress

Pleasantly surprised!! My daughter and I cosleep and always have but now that she’s older (7 months) she needs something safer. (She likes to roll around and crawl on the bed, obviously we don’t want any falls!) so we got this XL twin futon. It’s firm enough for an infant safe sleep surface, and it’s comfortable enough for my achey body!! Almost every morning since my third trimester with her I’d wake up sore as can be. It honestly got worse once I gave birth. Since sleeping on the futon (a week now) I have had NOOOO soreness! I have a bad upper body (neck shoulder and upper back) and bad hips! I sleep on my side and my stomach…no pain!! I was trying to keep our set up affordable so I only for the 2.5 inch but it’s comfy!

Easy to toll up and put in a corner. Added bonus is storage bag it came with. Seems to be good quality.

Very comfortable but forget about rolling up unless you're a wrestler. Don't buy this if you are hoping for portability. The provided carrying bag will not hold the mattress if you can manage to roll it up tight enough to fit in it.

I have been pleasantly surprised at how comfortable this is! We have only had it a couple of weeks but so far we have been happy with the quality. We have used it as a floor bed for our little one and it has worked great for us.

Transitioning from any western mattress to any futon can be a challenge. The Zönli futon/mattresses have the high-density foam under the cotton cover, so you can either use the Zönli "hybrid" for a couple of years then try an actual all-cotton shikibuton or stay with the Zönli type for your second. Our 4 inch queen weighs 7 kg and replaces a latex mattress that weighed 66 kg. It is extremely comfortable, even for side-sleeping. And the light weight makes it easy to rotate, air out, rebound in the sun etc.

It definitely cannot be used as a sleeping mat. Too thin to lie on it comfortably. It's not soft nor cushiony. Unfortunately, I can't return it since we used it for guests the day after its delivery. It also could not be covered using a queen size fitted sheet. It kept curling up on the edges and just didn't fit. King size fitted sheet was too big. The texture was rough, not smooth to the touch.

I should have gotten a slightly thicker one, but for the 2.5 inches that I chose, it’s good quality. Everyone recommended to wait 24 hours before sleeping on it, I did wait, but honestly right out the box it was fine.

The material is very nice. It feels super compfy when lying on the mattress. It’s just arrived and I am already loving it. Worth the buy.
