These wrenches are finished with an electroless nickel plating process that offers several key advantages, including complete corrosion protection on interior surfaces and a better fit in the jaws, as the plating material doesn't accumulate at the tips as with conventional chrome plating. Additionally, this process has a lower environmental impact since it doesn't require the use and disposal of chromium. We make the wrenches entirely in the USA with USA-sourced materials. The steps of machining, broaching, engraving, vibration polishing, abrasive blasting, and plating all take place locally at Tekton's Grand Rapids, Michigan manufacturing facility.
