Reliable protection when needed
I decided to buy this pepper gel because I wanted a safe way to protect myself when I’m outside my house, especially at night or in the parking lot. I’ve heard about SABRE being a trusted brand, and I wanted something that was easy to carry and quick to use. I carried the pepper gel on my belt and practiced flipping the safety a few times. When I actually tested it, I found that the Crossfire technology worked well, even when spraying at odd angles or upside down. The spray reached quite far, and I felt confident that it could help me if I was ever in trouble. It was easy to use, and I appreciated the safety features, like the fast flip top. Overall, I think this pepper gel does what it promises. It feels reliable and simple enough to use if I ever need it. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a strong and easy-to-activate personal safety device.

BE PREPARED. No one will come to your defense.
My dog and I were repeatedly charged by 2 off-leash dogs. NO ONE, NO ONE, NO ONE came to our defense. If I didn’t have this pepper gel with me, I can’t imagine what could have happened. They came within a foot of us. I was madly spraying the gel from one dog to the other. When I sprayed one, it moved away and the other moved closer. One came so close to my dog’s hindquarters that I thought she was going to get attacked or bitten. In the last year and a few months, off-leash dogs have charged at me more than a dozen times. This was the first time I had to use the pepper gel. I’m grateful I had it and I’m grateful it was a 1.5 ounce canister. I’m more grateful neither of us were injured.

Great Design
These bottles are a great value and I selected this model for its portability and size, which allows for discreet or concealed carry for men and women. I got these primarily for my wife and daughter, so safety and design played a huge factor in selecting a pepper gel spray. We haven't tried them out yet and hope to never have to but operation of these is very simple and straightforward. These have an attached metal clip attached to each bottle for carrying on a belt but I still purchased carrying cases for these to add a bit more safety from accidental discharge. The lock feature is easy to use and pretty foolproof for safe operation. Perfect size for a small purse.

I would trust this in the hands of a teenager! Very accurate
Well, I can tell you one thing if anything gets shot in the face with this like I did,🙄 don’t ask. You’re gonna know it’s really really really effective. It had me down and out for at least an hour. It’s very accurate with the stream not a big orange cloud like my bear spray. This is safe for teenagers just not for the elderly.🤣

Deterred an attacking dog
I've been carrying this on walks and runs with my dog after having multiple encounters with uncontrolled off-leash dogs. Until now I had always been able to deter approaching dogs by yelling and waving my hands. Tonight was the first time I actually had to use it. While returning home from a walk, an off-leash dog ran into my yard and attacked my smaller dog. I deployed the pepper gel toward the attacking dog. The first application caused the dog to disengage briefly, but the dog came back toward us again. I used the remainder of the can, which stopped the interaction and allowed us to get away safely. Overall: it did what I bought it to do. I was not injured and my dog was not seriously injured, so from that perspective it was a success. Pros: The gel formulation significantly reduced blowback. Some spray did get onto my dog during the incident, and I accidentally got some on myself afterward while rinsing her off, but the exposure was manageable. After flushing with water, both of us were fine. Given how close my dog was to the attacking dog, I appreciated that it was not a large cloud affecting everyone nearby. The size is convenient to carry while running/walking, and it was easy to access quickly when needed. Cons: The stopping power was less dramatic than I expected. This was not an instant “spray once and the dog immediately runs away” situation. It took multiple seconds of sustained spraying before the dog backed off, and the first application did not prevent the dog from returning. It felt more like the spray disrupted the attack and bought me enough time to get away rather than immediately incapacitating the dog. The range was adequate but not exceptional. The capacity was also just enough for this incident — I used the entire can during one encounter. Final thoughts: I am still glad I had it. The product worked, and the outcome was much better than trying to physically separate two dogs. I will continue carrying pepper spray/gel, although I may look for a larger capacity option for more margin. I think this is probably a realistic compromise: strong enough to stop an aggressive dog without causing permanent injury, but do not expect it to work like it does in movies. Be prepared to keep spraying, create distance, and retreat.

Quality can accurately every time
I carry one of these every single time I walk. Pepper gel is better than pepper spray because there's less chance of getting the splash back in your own eyes in the wind.
