Review: Solid, well-built hose reel - I am not a fan of flimsy plastic hose reels, or those awful plastic boxes, so I was thrilled to find this well-made steel hose reel. I built a base for the hose reel from scrap lumber and it only takes a minute or two to reel in the hose after watering. The 75' stainless steel hose is great because it doesn't kink. Highly recommended!
Review: Big Fan! - I'm a big fan of this hose reel. It has a good heavy feel to it. I have used it about a half dozen times for my pressure washing business and I have to say, it's held up quite well. I had to install a short 6" whip line so as to not kink up the hose as the J-turn is just a little too sharp, but it easily holds 100ft of 3/4in hose, nice and secure. I has a nice finish to it, the handle is sturdy, and the "reeling action" is nice and smooth. Big fan!

**Q: Anyone know the inner diameter of the pipe running through the middle is? I’m looking to keep restriction down**
A: The inside diameter of the pipe is 1/2"

**Q: Can this remain mounted on the house in winter where the temperature falls below zero?**
A: I have mine mounted on my brick wall for about 3 years and it is still working fine.  But then I am in the US South, not much sub-zero temperatures here.  There is nothing that will freeze on the thing.  I suppose if you get to Antarctic temperatures the plastic parts may crack.... SOL.

**Q: can this reel holder be mounted on a brick wall**
A: You will need good anchors but it should not be a problem to mount on a brick wall

**Q: What size and type of screws should I buy to wall mount this reel?**

I built a base for the hose reel from scrap lumber and it only takes a minute or two to reel in the hose after watering. The 75' stainless steel hose is great because it doesn't kink. Seems to be strong and of good quality, but the price I paid for it still bugs me. Will have to see how long it lasts, but I think these are far too expensive for most people so i took off one star for that.
