My Go To!
This oil is a favorite among performance enthusiasts for good reason. Designed specifically for high-performance gasoline engines, the VR1 formula delivers enhanced wear protection thanks to 2x more zinc and phosphorus—ideal for flat-tappet cams and high-RPM builds. Whether you're running a classic muscle car or a track-day machine, this oil helps reduce friction and heat, boosting power and longevity. The full synthetic blend resists thermal breakdown and foaming under extreme conditions, while special friction modifiers help maintain torque and horsepower. It’s also compatible with engines burning full or partial alcohol fuels, making it a versatile choice for drag, oval, or street performance. Each case includes six 1-quart bottles, perfect for full oil changes or topping off between runs. Just note—it’s not recommended for vehicles with catalytic converters, due to the high zinc content.

Best price I could find
I use this in my Porsche 911. It works well. I used same brand and type the past 15 years in the car and have had no issues. I go through 80 quarts a year and currently this was the best price.

Racing Oil with synthetic Valvoline VR1
I've always used Valvoline racing oil. Why are they advertising two times the amount of zinc and then send you a case that has 1.7 times amount of zinc. They need to do something about the advertisement.

...with the original engine. Car runs much better in this southern heat using this motor oil. Not sure how it will do in winter, but we will continue to use it as long as it's above 75° outside.
