Outstanding little camp cook knife.
I was looking at a compact, dedicated food prep knife for backpacking and this is exactly what I was hoping for.Bigger than I imagined, but still compact and feels good in the hand.I'm a lefty, so I find the button orientation is absolutely perfect for me.It is accessible for opening and closing, but also out of the way in any hand position I could try. This is not the case when using it right handed, but I still didn't have any issues with accidentally depressing it.Blade was passibly sharp out of the box, but it only took a few minutes of sharpening to get it shaving sharp.Sharpening was a breeze due to the edge geometry and blade profile.Cleaning was no problem, which was something I was worried about with a folder.Cutting with it for kitchen tasks has been excellent, though I admit I have only tried it in the kitchen thus far.So far, I am very pleased with this knife and will probably buy a few more for the rest of the family's camp kits.I'll see about updating this review after a few camping trips and see how it performs in the field.

Real folding chef’s knife
Wonderful knife! Great ergonomics and very functional blade length for food prep in a folder. Excellent value. Highly recommend.

Impressive travel knife with decent ergonomics and a sharp blade!
Super impressed with this folding chef knife! It won't see much use in my own kitchen but I will be taking it everywhere with me so that any time friends or family ask me to help with dinner when I'm at their house I don't have to use their old dull knives.Other than the handle being a bit heavy which causes the center of balance to be quite far back, the ergonomics are great. Plenty of knuckle clearance and a good usable blade shape. The VG-10 blade comes usably sharp out of the box and should be easy to sharpen and hold an edge well if it's anything like other VG-10 knives I've used.If you are like me and enjoy cooking with friends but hate using low quality and dull knives then this is the perfect travel chef knife for you! I'd be surprised to find one better in the same price category!

Great design, has some flaws but I like it anyway.
I think this knife is a good deal for the money, I have some pros and cons. The design is great, the handle ergonomics and blade shape are both great. The materials are great, idk if the blade is 10cr or vg10 (the product listing mentions both of those) but I can say that it has at least a decent heat treat. I've carried it for 3 shifts at work and done a good bit of light cutting, and I easily stropped it back to sticky sharp afterwards. The g10 scales are nice and they remind me of spyderco g10. The hardware is minimal, and the lock seems pretty safe. The detent is strong enough but a little light in my opinion. My complaints: fit and finish, and the lack of a pocket clip. The pivot is free-spinning and I havent been able to center the blade. My knife also has some side-to-side play in the open and closed position. There is also a little bit of detent lash when the blade is closed; the detent catches the blade a little bit before the blade hits the stop pin, so when you push on the closed blade you can feel a little more travel towards the stop pin.And no pocket clip. On day 3 of carrying the knife loose in my pocket, it opened a little bit and cut a hole in my pocket. A pocket clip and a slightly stronger detent would definitely fix this.Overall it's worth the money. If Tacray put a pocket clip on it and improved the fit and finish I would buy 2 more. I won't carry it anymore because of the hole it made in my pocket, and honestly I'm a little bit disappointed because I like the knife. I have civivis, we knives, demkos etc. But this cheap knife is actually pretty enjoyable.

Impressed
Fit and finish of this folder is a very nice. The blade is impressively large. Arrived sharp. Only use and time will tell how well the edge is retained. I am considering to buy the smaller version as well.

Great camping chefs knife
I’m happy with the quality and feel of the knife. It came reasonably sharp. I chopped an onion and the knife performed like a small chef’s knife. A decent sized blade, and enough clearance so your knuckles don’t hit the cutting board. I’m adding this to my camp kitchen bin.

Great folding prep knife
This knife arrived sharp and after a quick wash it was ready to use, the button lock seems sturdy and engages well. It does not replace all of my kitchen knives lol, but it is a very handy size for chopping and prepping. It is a great grill side or camping companion. Being foldable makes it easy to put in back/front pocket or pack and does not require a seperate sheathe to keep track of. I have not sharpened it yet, it seems to hold an edge decently, hand washes nicely, I would not put in dishwasher, use a pipe cleaner or brush for cleaning inside the handle. This is a well built knife at a very good price, I would definitely recommend it.
