Drybar Detox Dry Shampoo Spray

This is my go-to dry shampoo. It does a great job absorbing excess oil and leaving my hair looking refreshed without needing a full wash. One of the things I love most is the scent—it smells amazing and honestly unlike any other hair product I’ve tried. It also doesn’t leave much visible residue, which is a big plus. If there is any slight white cast at first, it’s easy to blend in by just massaging it with your fingers. Overall, it makes my hair feel clean and gives it a nice refreshed look between washes.

I have used this product for a long time so the first time I got a can that didn’t spray correctly I thought it was just a fluke. The 2nd time I was irritated the 3rd time I was angry. I liked this product and have used it for many years but now I can’t possibly recommend it. I don’t know what happened to this product but I would never waste my money on it again! Do not waste your money there are many more reliable products out there.

I’m a cosmetologist and I’ve tried a lot of dry shampoos. Like A LOT. This is one of my all time favorites for myself. I like the scent. It’s a very clean scent with a hint of floral. The sprayer always works and disperses a good amount of product. It also does its job. My hair feels clean and it’s soaks up any oil or left in product. I was also around cigarette smokers today and didn’t want to wash my fresh blowout out so I sprayed this all over my hair and it took that awful smoke smell away. To use this correctly though, spray 6-8 inches away from the scalp and spray the roots in sections. Let it sit for like 5 minutes and then brush your hair. It does have a bit of color. It’s almost a flesh toned spray which I haven’t seen before. I have brown hair with blonde balayage and a bright blonde money piece. This time works for my hair and after I brush the product in I don’t notice any color payoff. If you have dark brown to black hair though I’m not sure this will work for you. Maybe they have this in a dark toned version? I don’t know. If your sprayer is clogged just hold it under super hot water and wipe the excess off. It should be fine. The only bad thing is the price for this tiny bottle is way too high. It’s why I don’t buy it that often unless it’s on sale somewhere. I could buy another brand and the price point would get me at least twice the amount of product.

This works great between shampoos. It has a strong scent, but I found it pleasant and it does wear off. It refreshes my hair in my part and along my forehead hairline where I tend to sweat. It didn’t leave much residue behind either. I’ll order a second one soon for traveling.

I have heard rave reviews about this product. So I decided to try it and I was not disappointed. I love the smell and the ease of use.

Just used this for the first time and was very confused when an almost skin-colored tinted product came out. I'm assuming this colorant is added to lessen any ashy residue but would have appreciated knowing that ahead of time. I'd you have platinum blonde or silver hair this will discolor your hair. It works fine, not cakey and the smell is not terrible but it's certainly not my favorite (reminds me of old grandma). If you touch your hair at all after applying, it will get on your fingers like Cheeto dust and transfer to whatever else you touch like clothes, furniture, etc. I probably won't be using this again unless it's a dire emergency.
