I wonder if these would be nice for special needs older children as well?

Honestly I think they are perfect for children of all ages! Adults too! The stories are different from tonie to tonie as far as levels of maturity go (for example, maybe I wouldn’t give an autistic 10 year old who has no trouble with hygiene a Daniel Tiger), but the real STORIES are all lovely and there are National Geographic and many advanced ones too!

Does it play the whole Toy Story movie for example or just a 30 min short story? Thanks!

It’s a summarized version of the whole Toy Story One movie. As if it were a book. So a little longer than a book but shorter than the movie. But it’s the entire story. My son loves it.
