They are good for adults and kids. The big plus is they are lightweight, besides being safe and odorless. The strange thing is that two sets by the same company are not made to interlink, though pieces are the same size. No chance to mix and match... Each set seems to be different quality. Pebbles are made better and feel softer, when spiky bumps mats are stiff and don't stay flat. I may try to put them in hot water to see if that could help them straighten. Despite this I am still satisfied with my purchase. These mats get the job done and feel great, you can take them anywhere, and my kid loves them too. They are almost great, but not quite.
