Gardenwed Women's Vintage Dress Sleeveless Cocktail 1950s Dresses Retro Tea Party Swing

True to size for plus size, excellent value for the money! I got this dress because I love dresses, and skulls and I find that a more retro style dress is flattering for plus sizes. I honestly did not hold high hopes it would actually fit, but it did! I often run into dresses and other plus size garments from brands on on Amazon that say plus size but that are not actual true to size plus size~ this one is. I have also ordered 3 other dresses from this brand since this first one was such a good fit. Zip closure in the back. It does come with a satin sash that you can tie in a bow around your waist, I skip it as for me personally it doesn't flatter my body shape when I use it. I looked through the brands size chart and ordered a 3X based on measurements. And it fits just as expected. My measurements are 46/50/50 (I am a 46FF UK/$6H US wide set chest). I have plenty of room in the chest without feeling squished and the dress is comfortable enough for all day wear! It is sleeveless so it pairs well wit cardigans and boleros too. I have many designer pinup or 1950's styles dresses and skirts that were more than triple the cost of this one. The material/fabric is very similar, and the overall quality is very similar as well. Making this dress an excellent value for the money. I did not need an underskirt with this one, it was just a flowy as I needed it to be without adding an underskirt. I am short, I am only 5 foot 2 so dresses do stop much lower on me rather than a tea length like they would on anyone taller. Even with a 2.5 inch heel on my shoes this does fall a little lower than mid-calf on me. Highly recommend for anyone plus size who likes dresses. It is very comfortable, check the brands size chart for a good fit. The dress does have some give to it, but not enough that I would suggest sizing down if you are in between sizes. Tip: To get wrinkles out from shipping hang the dress in your bathroom and run the shower on hot until the bathroom get's steamy. This will loosen the wrinkles out if you do not have a garment steamer.

This is so cute and it fits really well! I got it for a 20s style outfit. The fabric is really smooth and it doesn't wrinkle too bad. The dress also works great with a petticoat! I got a size Small since that's my go-to, but I probably should have gotten an extra small as it's a touch bigger than I'd like it. Very cute and simple little dress - perfect length as well. I wear mine with a white belt instead of black but the normal belt looks cute as well!

Fit is true the size. Color is not as bright as pictured, but still works within acceptable variation.

The dress is very flattering giving the hourglass shape. The dress hits me around my knee and I'm 5'2. It is a good quality and a little bit thicker material. I paired the dress with a glitzy belt and a black sweater. The belt gives it some contrast and also to help really define the waist. It is true to size and very comfortable. The only thing missing is pockets!

I received the dress today and it is exactly what I wanted ! I am 5’4” / 130lbs and I took a Medium because I don’t like to feel tight in my clothes . It fits absolutely perfectly ! I bought it to go to a High Tea party with one of my friends and the dress will be perfect for the occasion. The only thing I changed was the ruban belt and replaced it with a black patent belt I already had . I think it gives a more polished look . The length is fine but I may shorten it just a tiny bit or just leave it as it is, I’ll see . The fabric is good quality and comfortable all it needs is a good ironing ! This dress is a good value and I might buy another one in a different color!

I was legitimately sad when this dress didn't work. It looked cheap and feels like a halloween costume. Not soft at all and I cant imagine being comfy in this through a dinner. The zipper would get stuck when I tried to zip it while wearing it but I could zip it and put it on over my head, so that wasnt a size issue. However, if you have a larger chest or box shape it has no stretch on the top at all. The back of the neck (where the zipper ends at the top) stuck out weird. I couldn't get it to sit flat no matter how I twisted the top.

We bought this dress for my daughter's middle school winter dance. It is a cute dress with a nice fit, so for appearance, I give it a 5. The reasons for the 3, however, are because it didn't have any loops for the sash, so it kept sliding up and down while she was dancing, AND it was shipped as and remained after wash a wrinkled mess with fabric that was very challenging to iron. We probably spent a good 45 minutes with the iron on the hottest setting and still didn't get the wrinkles fully out. We also took a steamer to it afterwards, as well, and while it looked better, we never got the dress totally smooth. So, overall, an attractive dress, but it needs belt loops for the sash, and plan on spending a lot of time dewrinkling it if you purchase. Definitely would reccomend adding a petticoat, too. That definitely completed the look!

Love tha material covers all the right ways to cover any pooch you may have especially me as a mama. But why I went back to write this 5 star review. I had red wine spilled on me and the color disappear no stain !! Amazing !

Il colore cambia di 1 tono dalla foto, veste bene leggermente laco in vita ma facilmente rimedile con l'apposita cinta, la parte superiore ha due stradi in modo tale da dare sostegno, la stoffa è favolosa non da sensazione di plastica, né fastidio sulla pelle (ho una pelle molto delicata) adattabile in varie stagioni utilizzando un copri spalla, bellissimo sul tacco ma anche su converce, la gonna è già gonfia ma se si desidera il top del gonfiore il fornitore ha anche i sottogonna, ottimo prezzo,materiale robusto, lo comprerò di altri colori.

Me encanta, viene bien la talla y se adapta perfectamente al cuerpo, es precioso
