34C Short Handle Heavy Duty Classic Safety Razor Set with 10 Blades In A Box

edit: these blades need frequent replacing I think. Much worse performance after the second shave. This is my first DE razor. I've been using classic straight razors for a couple of years, but the procedure/ritual was too much for me. Shaving with this for the first time, I can tell it's a very worthy purchase. It feels solidly made, is easy to install a razor and to use. When shaving I don't feel it cut at all, it's very gentle no matter how I angle it. It shaves nicely, but multiple passes needed to get a clean shave. Not a problem because with this it's very unlikely that I'll cut myself. Only minor gripe is since the handle is short the lathered soap runs down it, it's a little annoying but a minor thing. I like the box it comes with. Easy to store.

I’m older than you. I started with a safety razor then switched to Techmatic (worst), disposable, multi blade refillable, multi blade disposable, back to refillable multi blades, club refillable, and more back to safety razor. I have a heavy beard and used to shave 10 times a week. Now accepted style allows me to only shave 3 times a week. High quality razor, sharp inexpensive blades, works great. I also picked up shaving soap and a beaver brush.

Solo tengo una duda, viene con 10 navajas, me afeite y no me irritó NADA, con otras navajas me quedaba la piel rojisima, con este nada, pero se debe a las navajas que vinieron o en si a la máquina de afeitar? Será lo mismo con una navaja shick guillete ? Lo probaré, hasta ahora con las navajas que vino MAGNIFICO

Great precise quality. Had a good shave. Would have liked a little longer handle because if my hand size.

Bought it May 2024. Lasted for a year and half of 4 days a week of usage on average. Precisely 95 blades each used for no more than 3~4 times (so that's a mere 190 cycles of screwing and unscrewing the razor head!). Finally, the threads which screws the handle into the razor's head gave up and were stripped off. Once that happens it renders the whole thing useless!! Would rate it 2/5 (instead of 1/5) since it was really great while it lasted. However, at that rate even my electric shaver comes out as the better bargain so I don't think it's worth buying a Merkur again.. guess I'll have to look somewhere else.. maybe a Muhle R89 or upgrade to Rockwell 6S?

This razor feels good in the hand. It would be a bit better if the handle was slightly longer, though. The blades provided with the razor aren't all that good. They are dull after only 3 or 4 days of use.
