CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleanser 16 oz for Daily Face Washing, Dry to Normal Skin

Recommended by my dermatologist - after cleansing, the skin feels clean, soft, and balanced

I don't usually review a product unless I am impressed by it and although I've been using this product for less than a week, I could not wait any longer to write a review. This is the first CeraVe product I've used and I LOVE this cleanser! I'm on medication which dries and irritates my skin and my normal Boots Botanicals cleanser was not helping with this at all. I needed a gentler more hydrating cleanser to counteract the dryness and soothe my skin so, after much research I decided to give this a try and its perfect. It cleanses and removes makeup with no effort or rubbing and rinses away easily leaving my skin feeling very hydrated and soothed afterwards with no tightness or stinging. It contains ceramides and hyaluronic acid which are both great for your skin and has an MVE formulation which continues to deliver moisture throughout the day. It's also a reasonable price which always helps. Needless to say, I am very impressed with this cleanser and will be ordering again. My skin thanks you CeraVe!

I don't usually write reviews unless am damn impressed and my comments might help someone. As my face is dry this stuff is the best and works,.I don't liked it initially as it was not foaming or cleanser texture. But Its soooooooooo gentle,I cant stress more, its looks and feels like a face moisture and I love working with it on my face... This does wonders on my face, I can definitely feel the difference the days I don't use this ,And its does remove makeup,I use twice when I wanted to do. And also it does not break me out as I do get acne occasionally.AM IMPRESSED.. My husband also loved it.I have already ordered the 2nd one.. WORTH trying it and you wont be disappointed.

Pricewise this is very expensive to get in the UK hence 1 star removed. This Face Wash has been my go-to for years. It is effective and very very gentle on my ultra dry skin. It never leaves my face dry or tight. I use it mostly in the mornings as a wash. I massage it on to my face and leave it whilst I brush my teeth, then wash it off. Afterwards my skin feels refreshed and hydrated. I doubt it would be very effective for removing makeup, for which I use an oil in the evening (Una Brennan Superfacialist Vitamin C+ Skin Renew Cleansing Oil ). The Cerave has no scent, does not foam, but is not too thick and sticky. It has a watery creamy consistency that is very easy and fast to wash off. I have also recently found this to be the perfect cream to shave my elderly Dad who was suffering from very dry flaky skin and razor burn. We switched him over to "Phillips One Blade" and use this for a wet shave in the shower. His skin now looks amazing and well nourished. :)

Simply the best facial cleanser I have ever used. It’s a very light gel which glides on and is easy to rinse off. No irritation whatsoever and I’ve got ultra sensitive skin. It didn’t leave my face with that awful tight feeling afterwards as all other cleansers have done. I still moisturised and my face feels like silk. Amazing product. Do buy it. You only need a small amount too, so it will last for ages. Can be used on your body too.

I have never liked washing my face. There, I admit it. I hate having stinging, streaming eyes and skin so tight it could be hit by Ginger Baker with little ill effect (hands up who knows who Ginger Baker is?) Make up removing lotions aren't a lot better as they leave a residue in your eyes and if you use cotton wool it gets tangled around your eyelashes. I saw this on Youtube being recommended by someone of mature years like myself and I really am glad I bought it. It's really good value for a start, but it takes off ALL my make-up. Mascara, everything. No stinging, no blurry eyes, no drumskin-tight skin. Even my skin, which has seen many years' use, is soft and smooth. Like anothee reviewer, I shall be using this for a long time to come.

If you have dry skin, this product is perfect for you. Up until now I had only used foaming face wash products to cleanse, and I'm really happy with the switch. My skin always felt so dry and tight after using them that I was afraid of accidentally frowning/smiling/moving my face whatsoever because it felt like it would cause my skin to tear. To me, this product is a godsend. Like some other customers have describe the texture feels a bit like hair conditioner, it doesn't foam and it's very gentle on the skin. It leaves it feeling soft and hydrated, not at all tight. I don't know how good it is at removing makeup (I use a make up remover before cleansing) but it does its main job perfectly. Recommended!

The wash is ok but certainly not worth all the hype. It doesn’t clean the pores very well even after a double wash, and I seem to have developed long lasting spots on my chin Eve since I started using the wash three months ago. I don’t think it overtly irritates skin but it certainly doesn’t stop break outs. It does leave the skin a little on the dry side so make sure you use moisturiser. It is a huge bottle which makes it good value for money if you are committed to it and happy with the product. I would have also preferred if this was a plastic free soap.

Cerave ist in den USA eine "Billigmarke" für gut gemachte, effektive Hautpflege , die vollgepackt ist mit guten Inhaltsstoffen, die ich in deutschen Drogerieprodukten vergeblich gesucht habe. Und auch die Inhaltsstofte in vielen hochgelobten, hochpreisigen Hautpflegeprodukten sehen dagegegen "alt" aus. Das einzige was bei den Cerave-Produkten "alt" aussieht ist die Verpackung. Aber da kommts ja nicht drauf an. Und zur Not kann man das Produkt ja auch in was Schickes umfüllen...:) Und nun zu dem Hydrating Cleanser: Was ist drin: Für die Gemeinde der INCI - AnbeterInnen : zu den Inhaltsstoffen brauche ich wohl nicht viel zu schreiben, einfach das Bild von Rückseite der Flasche mit dem garnicht mal so klein gedruckten Inhaltsstoffen anklicken. Für alle anderen, die einfach nur einen guten Cleanser suchen; viel Hyaluron und viele Ceramide, keine Duftstoffe und dank einer Verkapselungs-Technologie werden die guten Sachen den ganzen Tag über in die Haut geschleust, was will man mehr. Verpackung und Anwendung und Wirkung bei mir: Sehr gut ist schon mal die Pumpflasche. Ein Pump ist völlig ausreichend für das angefeuchtete Gesicht und Hals. Cleanser mit den Händen oder besser noch dem Clarisonic in die Haut einmassieren. Mit lauwarmen Wasser abspülen und fertig ist die Laube. Die Haut ist super gereinigt, schön weich und für die weiteren Pflegeschritte vorbereitet, Nach dem Reinigen spannt und brennt nichts aber auch garnichts, da rötelt nichts, da muss nicht sofort eine rettende Feuchtigkeitscreme drübergegeben werden, weil die Gesichtshaut so ausgelaugt ist wie die die Wüste Gobi ..., ganz im Gegenteil, dke Haut ist genial durchfeuchtet, aber nicht brachial durchfettet, wie bei anderen reichhaltigeren Reinigerlotionen für trockenere, "reife" Hauttyen, die einen schmierigen Film auf der Haut hinterlassen und bei mir immer sofort Pusteln verursachen. Ich verwende den Cleanser auch gerne solo abends nach dem Sport als Feuchtigkeitsspender, wenn es noch zu früh ist sich das volle Pflege-Nachtprogramm ins Gesicht zu zelebrieren. Make-up entferne ich allerdings immer vorher grob mit ölhaltigen Cleansern, sicher ist sicher. Meine Haut: ist normal bis trocken mit einer leicht fetteligen T-Zone, aber einem mega Zickenpotential, sobald gewisse Duftstoffe, brachiale Alkoholverbindungen, schlechte Ernährung, wenig frische Luft, die Hormone und der Weltschmerz ins Spiel kommen.... Die Konsistenz dieses Hydrating-Cleansers ist eher farblos und gel-artig , was ich immer gerne mag. Es bildet sich ein sehr dezenter und feiner Schaum. Der Cleanser riecht nach fast nichts, geruchlos halt mit einem klitzekleinen Gemuffel nach Platikflasche im Abgang. Ergiebigkeit: Ich verwende den Gesichtreiniger immer morgens und abends und komme mit diesen 12 oz (ca 370 ml) mindestens 4 Monate aus. Der Preis ist etwa 2.5 mal so hoch wie in den USA, so isses eben. Aber die Investition lohnt sich. Ich habe dieses Produkt auf permanenter Kauf-Wiedervorlage und möchte dieses Produkt uneingeschränkt empfehlen.
