Perfect fountain pen! Aesthetically gorgeous but most importantly the weight and balance of this pen are chef’s kiss. Comfortable in my hands and the nib glides over the paper smoothly and effortlessly. Truly a pleasure to use. This writing instrument punches well above its price point!

This is a HEAVY fountain. pen. This gives it a masculine feel so would be a perfect first pen for a man. In fact it's so heavy it writes better if you don't put the cap on the back of the pen. That's an important detail since most modern fountain pens are light, and balance better with the cap on back. Not this one. It's perfectly balanced if you just place the cap off to the side and start writing. The chrome finish is beautiful. I got the medium nib, and it's pretty big. But it's perfectly accurate even for smaller letters. Writes well on a cotton based paper. I am using one of the black ink cartridges that came with the pen. Surprisingly the ink is very dark and flows well. This pen also comes with a rechargeable ink tank. I will be curious to see if the pen nib works as well with bottled ink. Pelikan is my favorite brand but this nib may be flowy enough that some of the UK inks will work with it. My only complaint is that the machining on the threads for the cap felt rather rough and gritty when screwing it off and on. However as I use the pen more those threads are wearing in nicely and should get smoother over time.

I am a collector. Mont Blanc, Waterman, Levenger, Waterford, Cross. You name it. I am a big fan of Wordsworth & Black. With my first purchase, I was surprised by the pen's luxurious look and feel, as well as its smooth writing. So I bought another. This is my third pen from W&B, and I am a little disappointed. It looks fantastic and writes beautifully. However, the threading between the cap and the barrel is poorly done. The threads are too loose, which prevents them from turning smoothly. One of the things I appreciate about the other two fountain pens I have from W&B is that they are not screw on caps. I don't necessarily mind the screw on cap, but if you're going to do it, do it right. This feels sloppy and detracts from the luxury feel I have come to expect from this brand. I understand the price point is not a "luxury" pen, but based on the other two pens I own from this company, you could have fooled me. Until now.

This pen looks nice, but the cap screws on as if it was made poorly. It’s loose and feels like it’s grinding. Writing has been smooth, and it comes with a significant amount of ink and a nice box, but I’d rather lose the ink and box and get a better pen. I’d say that it’s mostly worth the cost, but I might choose another pen instead of buying again.

Really good fountain pen. Love the screw inat both ends, nib works great

First fountain pen I've ever purchased. Well worth the investment. I've already made money back from not having to keep replacing the ball point pens. Ink capsules seem to give a decent amount of ink. I haven't tried getting ink from an inkwell yet with the included adapter. Feels great to hold and writes smoothly. Easy to clear up the nib if for some reason it gets clogged by dry ink. While I have not tried other fountain pens, this is definitely a great gateway into the fountain pen world. I'm already looking at other brands and models curious to see the difference in quality between them all. Definitely an excellent purchase for me.

My husband was a little hesitant about the pen since he had never heard of this brand before. He collects fountain pens and is always looking for something new. He came home from the office excited about how well it wrote. Even waited to sign my work papers until he got home so he could show me how smooth it was.

My major complaint is that the box that it comes in isn't really designed for a particular pen. This is in no way a "custom" box. There is a fabric ribbon and an elastic that can hold one ink cartridge in the box. There is no way to store additional cartridges in the box, or store the pen in a box in a way where it doesn't rattle around. I feel like with the price there should be a custom spot / slot for the pen itself (as the description heavily implies) along with ample room to bring several cartridges or put a small ink pot in the box itself. Now, barely a month after receiving the product the box has disintegrated. I have barely used the box, it sits on my writing table where it does not receive any kind of abuse what-so-ever. I opened it today and the hinges broke without any reason. I removed the fabric from the hinge section, revealing what an absolutely cheap piece of garbage it actually is. This "custom box" wouldn't be able to handle any kind of travel, eliminating the purpose of the box entirely. EDIT: I messaged the manufacturer with my problem regarding the premium gift box. They immediately offered to refund my entire order, without needing to return any of the product I had received. I feel like that is above and beyond the call. All I really wanted was another box, or some kind of remuneration. Considering how excellent the pen is I told them I did not need a full refund, and instead would they send me complimentary ink cartridges. They were more than happy to oblige. Everything about my issue was treated with respect and care. You simply don't get customer service like this from 95% of the companies out there. Kudos to Wordsworth & Black for going above and beyond. If and when I want or need another fountain pen, this is where I will go 100%.

The Wordsworth & Black Majesti fountain pen works beautifully, but I’ve noticed it performs much better on high-quality paper. At first, it might seem like it’s not writing properly, but once the paper has a bit more texture or slight moisture, it writes with no issues at all. That would be my only complaint. Overall, it’s a good pen, just something to keep in mind depending on the paper you use.
