Well written by the author of Psalm 91: God's Umbrella of Protection. The 2 books definitely went hand to hand for me. There is hope for those who suffer silently. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Clear explanations of "Soulishness" *by C***N on Reviewed in the United States on August 14, 2024* I've been a Christian for a long time but never knew about the concept of "soulishness" and how being too dependent on your "soul" or (intellectual thoughts, analysis, reasoning) can be just as bad as being in the "flesh" (controlled by lusts and appetites of the flesh). Chapters 10 and 11, written by the author's daughter, Angelia Shum, show how to deal with "intellectual" decisions or rationalizations that cause you to make horrible mistakes or be in bondage. She gives examples where King David depended on his conniving, reasonings, and intellect to get himself out of trouble which actually caused even more trouble. We have to love the truth and stop taking liberties, engaging in coverups, or misdirection in gray areas while appearing spiritual [this is what she calls soulishness], and it is very dangerous. All this distinction between the flesh (focused on self), soul (focused on the world), and spirit (focused on God) is very illuminating and if we're not aware of it, we tend to contrast flesh with spirit (not realizing our soul is getting in the way), so that we think we're being spiritual, but we're actually mingling the soul/spirit together and deluding ourselves.This distinction between soulishness and spiritual is so important if we are to be able to walk in the spirit and not the flesh. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars The next book you read after the Bible *by K***E on Reviewed in the United States on October 30, 2012* For those wanting the 'victorious' Christian walk - - I would say this book is a 'must have', and the best book on deliverance I have read - and I have read several.
