CP3-100 Vehicle Sensor Kit Exit Wand 100 Feet Car Vehicle detector Automatic Gate release Free Exit device

I bought this product to replace a cheaper GTO exit wand that I had installed. I'm using it not for gate opening but to trip my home automation system so that when we drive up the driveway it turns on exterior lights at the house at night. The cheaper GTO one worked for a few days after I installed it, then it became intermittent, and shortly thereafter it just quit entirely. Since digging them up is a pain, I didn't want to replace it with the same unit, even with a new one. Read the reviews on this one which were quite positive and it has both NC and NO contacts on the relay (which the GTO did not have), so I bought it. So far very happy with it. Good build quality and is working as it should. Yes, the GTO one was $130 versus $200 for this guy, but the savings isn't worth having to dig up the GTO and now having an underground splice where I swapped it for this one. Pay the extra money and get quality the first time around.

Bought this for a LiftMaster RSL 12U gate opener. Though there was no way to tell if I was getting 3 wire or 5 wire (you'd think it would be in the product name or nomenclature, right?), I was happy to open box and find a 5 wire.The RSL 12U uses the NO configuration, so the blue and black wires go to the exit terminals. The blue wire is actually more of a pale gray - color blind folks might have major problems telling the wire colors apart, because the color coding is not clean. Cartell ought to think about either labeling each wire or adding various patterns to the wires - pale green and pale blue just don't stand out enough!Unit itself seems pretty hardy, and cable insulation is also sturdy. The coating is more 'rubbery' than I've seen before so it does grab the inside of conduit - use caution when pulling!

Works really good was not sure but now I am works great

It works great!! Install was a challenge because the directions are VERY generic but it is only a couple of wires and once we figured out where to hook up, it seemed intuitive. I can use a shovel to open my gate by waving it over the spot where the head is buried. ATV, garbage cans rolling on the driveway also open the gate. That is the reason for the 4 stars.

Easy to install worked as expected

works great for my mighty mule opener. It did cost a little more but after reading the reviews about the mighty mule opener ground censer I figured it would be wise to spend a little more money.NOTE don't go by the color code for the censer to the control board read the specks and match up the leads for the values.

This is a great product for exit problems in a busy gated yard.. Easy install, up and running in about 2 hours

This "wand" works decently. Its a bit too sensitive surprisingly. You can step where its buried and it opens our gate...I don't love that but it's better than never opening.
