## Description

Airmed's nasal aspirators have been helping babies and their parents for free noses and against children's runny nose for more than 35 years
The idea of the nasal aspirator was developed 35 years ago by a paediatrician and developed by Airmed's nasal aspirator.
As the only nasal aspirator, our device has been clinically tested by the University Hospital Vienna. The result:
Children sleep immediately back to normal. Consequential diseases are less common. Drinking behaviour is significantly better
(Application study, Univ.Prof.Dr. Dieter Koller)
The most important thing when nasal aspiration is the complete removal of mucus and the prevention of secondary diseases.
Only our stable and hard suction head (BPA-free) can do both: Complete mucus removal and kill all viruses during sterilization
Therefore, each Airmed's nasal aspirator comes with 2 suction heads and cleaning brush.
So that viruses don't stand a chance!
Babies often have a cold. When the nose is blocked, breathing, drinking and sleeping do not function properly, other complications are possible. Therefore, the mucus must always be removed
In a pediatric hospital, suction is done with a vacuum pump. The translation for home is the Airmed's Vac aspirator with use of the vacuum cleaner. It immediately ensures free breathing and relaxed babies. The Original Airmed's Vac is clinically tested and recommended by pediatricians and millions of parents
Airmed's Vac was developed by a pediatrician. Airmed's Vac works just as efficiently and safely at home as the vacuum pump in the hospital.
No annoying noises close to face. Airmed's Vac completely pulls mucus out of the baby nose because the suction is powerful and gentle at the same time
Airmed's Vac sucks with constant power. Concentrate only on the child and not on the suction. You also certainly do not swallow any mucus
The transparent Original Airmed's Vac is not inserted into the nose. The treatment is faster, more relaxed and the mucus is completely gone
The application is simple and under control! Connect part C to the vacuum cleaner tube. You alone determine the strength of the air suction. Then calmly take the child on your lap and gently hold the suction head to one nostril. In 2-3 seconds the mucus is completely removed and the nose is free
After treatment, clean all parts under running water before the mucus dries. Sterilize suction head in the sterilizer or with boiling water. After that, Airmed's Vac can be used again as often as you like. Your child can breathe, sleep and drink easily. This is how you avoid complications
Why using a vacuum cleaner as support for Airmed's Vac?
The vacuum cleaner is technically the same as a vacuum pump in a peiatric hospital. We only use the air flow. With Airmed's Vac, you can also freely determine the strength of the suction. This means that the air flow always fits the baby's needs
Isn't a vacuum cleaner unhygienic?
The air is taken from the nasal aspirator into the vacuum cleaner. No particles can get back into the baby's nose "against the current".
Isn't the suction of the vacuum cleaner too strong?
The device automatically reduces the pressure to a force half that of your blowing your nose. So the baby's nose is completely safe. However, you can freely control the strength with the vacuum cleaner
Does the nasal aspirator fit any vacuum cleaner? Is it compatible with Dyson or Vorwerk?
Yes! The nasal aspirator is suitable for any vacuum cleaner (800-1800 watts). If your vacuum cleaner doesn't have a round suction tube, you can use our yellow adapter. If you have questions about a specific model, just write to us
Isn't Airmed's Vac too loud?
Airmed's Vac itself is completely silent, thers is no noise near the child's face. The noise of the vacuum cleaner (about 7ft away) is quite normal for babies. They are already used to this as it is a regular noise for them

## Features

- 👶 RIGHT SUCTION FROM THE RIGHT SOURCE: Invented by a pediatrician in the hospital. The baby nasal aspirator "Airmed's Vac" works like the hospital suction pump and uses the vacuum cleaner as a support. Much better than any electric, manual or oral baby nose sucker and very easy to regulate
- 👶 SAFE AND GENTLE: The ingenious construction fits the baby's nose exactly and reduces the suction of the vacuum cleaner to half of the normal blowing. Tested by university hospitals and enthusiastically recommended by millions of parents, the nasal aspirator for baby removes mucus and thus reduces the risk of secondary diseases
- 👶 TREATMENT IN 3 SECONDS: The baby can immediately breathe normally through the nose again, drink as usual and sleep through the night. The mucus is completely and quickly removed. Even without closing the second nostril and with just one hand. Our baby nose sucker helps quickly and comprehensive
- 👶 ALWAYS UNDER CONTROL: Airmed's Vac nose cleaner is completely transparent and you see what is being sucked out at all times. The round tip only touches the outside and is perfect for baby's nose. All parts are made of tested plastic without plasticizers. Airmed's Vac baby nasal aspirator can be used right after birth
- 👶 EASY TO CLEAN: With its free cleaning brush, the nose sucker for baby is quick and easy to clean under running water. The suction head fits in every sterilizer and is therefore perfectly hygienic for every application at home. A second suction head of the baby nose unblocker serves as a reserve

## Customer Reviews

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Literally helps with kids sleep and as a results - with ours too!
*by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 23 February 2026*

We've had all other non-vacuum aspirators before - mouth suction ones that rely on your lungs and are good just for newborns, electric ones which most are a complete waste of money as they do nothing, hand-pump ones that have limited efficiency because they can't sustain long-time suction. This type of of nasal aspirator in our 6+years of usage is the most effective. Bought this new one as the old one got stepped onto and broke. It has downsides too, but let's list it all quickly.Good stuff & priceless advices:- Effective. The key is that by connecting it to the vacuum it consistently creates suction for as much as you need - which is crucial for sticky mucus that sits deep, almost in the throat. Parents here would know very well what I mean, as with some less effective aspirators you just kinda cleared your child's nose and next minute you hear all the same struggles again as if nothing came out.Safety Note (!): Because the tip of it actually goes inside the nose, make sure you point the tip not towards the nasal septum. Try yourself - it's not pleasant when something presses against it + kids many times won't sit like saints, waiting and can do wild moves which can make things worse and more painful if the tip hits the septum.- Powerful. You can regulate the suction power. My honest advice - find the balance, as switching your vacuum at max power won't necessarily make a stronger suction. Due to the construction of the device, it can pull just as much at a time. Increasing to max will result first of all in higher noise and potential stress for your child and eventually stress on you too as a parent. And less important but still - creates unnecessary pressure on your vacuum too which might break down.- Very easy to clean. You just open the cup with a twist (!) and rinse it in matter of seconds. Why I accentuate to twist is because I found out that twisting is a lot easier than pulling up, despite the plastic petals that seem to be made to create grip for pulling. Also a friendly advice here - put it to dry till next time and try to avoid water going down the pipe into your vacuum. What can happen in time the pipe will become dirty and ugly, without a way to wash it and liquid going into your vacuum pipe will at least stain the whole pipe with glued on dust the next time you vacuum around the house, which can result in unpleasant smells.Cons / TO NOTE:The biggest downsides in my opinion are:- The noise. It's just just your vacuum, but the loud whistle it creates when struggling to suck air trough the devices narrow nozzle. It can scary your child and I suggest to very carefully watch for that and ideally, start as a game, during the day time when your child is in good mood and show first on yourself, as a smile, to create that trust.- The need of vacuum. It is obvious you need a vacuum and it is what is makes this device effective. But the downside comes down when you need it in the middle of the night. So it is hassle, it is noise, etc etc. But in the end of the day, in practice we found out that sometimes several minutes of hassle and noise can help the child and you to have several hours of sleep after. While if nose is not cleared, neither eating or good sleeping is possible and ends up in a whole night struggle for everyone.Personally if you take into account above precautions - I can definitely recommend this device as it can help to clean your child's nose effectively!Hope this helps! Stay well and healthy!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best invention ever
*by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 29 July 2026*

This is the best thing ever! My newborn struggled with his nasal breathing and had huge bogeys blocking constantly since birth. Managed to get him to sneeze a few out but was a becoming a nightmare, was so hard listening to him struggle to breathe. We tried the very popular mouth sucking one of these to zero avail and cannot fathom why it has such good reviews. Thought I’d give this a try and wow. Instant results! All the snot and huge bogeys flew out within seconds! His breathing instantly cleared it was the most satisfying thing ever. Massively recommend!!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Essential bit of kit
*by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 21 December 2025*

This is an absolute brilliant piece of kit. I hadn’t realised you attached it to your vacuum cleaner and was obviously nervous about doing it.Used it on my 3 month old who was really struggling to breathe when he had a cold, especially when lying on his back. The amount it sucked out was insane. The baby was not bothered by using it on him at all. He was immediately clear of mucus and able to sleep soundly. Absolute lifesaver and well worth the money.
