I had a RBW hitch and replaced the hitch with a Reese. The Reese hitch fit perfectly into the RBW rails **Q: Does this come with the L brackets?** A: No. You must buy universal brackets or custom frame brackets separately. **Q: are these rails comparable with GMC 2500hd 5th wheel prep?** A: Hello William, Curt hitch and rails are the standard factory equipment for Chevy pickup, so I would assume their the same with GMC. These rails are very strong and I am very satisfied with them. They are also powder coated very nicely. These are considered the universal base rails and are compatible with lots of different hitches. I am glad I did. The rails are much beefier than Reese rails and were cheaper as well. I still use my Reese slider hitch and it works great. I will eventually upgrade to the Pullrite ISR set-up. That's the beauty of ISR systems. I personally would not buy the under-the-bed rail mount systems. I have never had an issue carrying anything in the bed. And when I have to haul dirt or mulch, I simply put down a tarp. Simple. I don't know what the other finish looks like, but I decided to go with gloss black. It looks great in my bed with the factory spray-in liner. I am very pleased.
