I was refinishing an old 12 drawer Drexel serpentine signature series dresser. I used mahogany 10mil veneer along the curvy serpentine edge and across the large top. I bought this to try and save some time on this job I usually use just a naked blade. I found this to be very sharp and flat/even perfect cuts. I was really good at using both hands to push it slowly where I could watch to make sure I didn't cut into the other veneer. Not sure I would use the finger holes, but that's just me. There were some angles I was not able to hold it correctly to make a good slice, but again, that's just me. Maybe with practice I could. I then finished all the edges off with a file. I will continue to use this on other veneer jobs going forward. No I didn't take pictures of my finished job because you wouldn't be able to tell if it worked or not and I don't show off my customer jobs online.

Very sharp tool for a quick trim job on a plastic strip I needed for furniture edge. Worked well!

For flush-trimming veneer, it does what it was designed for. If many feet of veneer to trim is needed, the finger holes can be a little uncomfortable. I rounded over the right angle edges of the finger holes, on both sides. That did the trick. So that’s the only improvement the manufacturer might consider doing.

I bought this because it was my first attempt at using edge banding and I was trying to minimize my investment in case it went horribly wrong. While this got the job done, I will say I now wish I would've spent more and gotten a dual-sided trimmer. This one takes a little patience, especially getting it started, once you get started it works pretty smoothly, but you can go off course if you're not careful. I also found it easier to move right to left than left to right (I suspect this would vary if you are left handed vs right handed); so to get the best results I have to flip the board around instead of just coming back on the other side of the board. Overall, the tool seems to be built well. The snap-off blades will be convenient if/when the blade seems to dull from repeated use.

Very easy to trim veneer with this tool. Allows you to stabilize the blade against the work. Standard snap blades fit this tool so you can always keep a sharp edge. This did not work as well on super thick veneer but standard veneer cut like butter
