Blue striped wire is positive, black is negative. Plenty of length for me to set up a quad system and even move two of the speakers to nearby rooms, as needed. This is 16 AWG (American Wire Gauge). Thicker wires (lower AWG) not needed for basic home stereos, plus they are bulky and unwieldy.
