Oh well, my experience: Out of the box it's really easy to work out. All you need to do is add four AA batteries (none supplied), load up the cartridge, and fire away. You get ten packs of ten darts and one full cartridge takes twenty of them. It's not a quick process loading them in (that's the only downside as far as I can see) and if you're really trying, you can fire them all in about four seconds, so about four shots every second. The gun comes with a tiny cardboard target. I couldn't be bothered setting this up so I just shot at the window instead. Given that it's a hard flat surface, I would have expected them all to stick but every time there are about five or six that fall. I suppose QC on a suction cup foam dart isn't going to be grade A, and I suppose a child will care even less so, so no real complaints there. The only downside is the time it takes to load but I suppose it's like any toy. The setup will take longer than the execution.
