Perfect for post-op appointments!
I got this long before my mastectomy was even scheduled; I was also going to buy the $110 robe but then my surgeon wrote a prescription for the camisoles and my insurance actually covered two of them (at $100 a pop).(My surgeon actually said not to buy this if the insurance didn’t cover it, that they could show me how to deal with the drains with just safety pins and lanyards. But I had already ordered this by the time she said that!)Surgery time came; double mastectomy and I opted for no reconstruction. Hospital told me to bring one of the camis with me on the day of the surgery. They also provided me with an ACE bandage for binding and a proper (frilly) binder as well. I ended up with just two drains and they safety pinned the tubes to the ACE bandage and wrapped me up in that when I got released (same day, I was home two hours after I woke up).The camis were what I wore most of the time— this shirt seems to run large; I often wear L or XL, I ordered L and I was swimming in it. I liked the drains closer to my body so that’s why I preferred the camis most of the time. However, this shirt came handy for post-op appointments or when the camis were being washed. As far as the lanyards/pouch holders:I wore the shower one every time I showered. Tied it around my waist and it was comfortable and easy enough to dry off.The cloth one I only wore when everything else was being washed. I was laying down a lot during my recovery and having a tied knot against my back wasn’t comfortable. Still, I did use it and it is nice having it if you decide to wear one of your own shirts!

Shirt and shower apron are must haves.
The shirt was wonderful. It is made of a very comfortable material. The shower apron was not something I would have thought of but was very nesseccary to have for someplace to store the drains while in the shower. I did not use the black apron so I have not opinion.

I don't know what I would have done without this ...
I don't know what I would have done without this after my mastectomy. The inner pockets in the shirt keep the drains secure, and because the shirt stays in place, the drains don't move around or get tangled. The two belts for carrying the drains are helpful for bathing and when you are wearing clothes that do not have pockets. However, the shirt was the item I used the most, even for sleeping. If I had to go through this process again, I would purchase various of these shirts.
