Looks and tastes like tar, takes getting used to
First time trying shilajit. Heard good things. First thing I noticed is that the jar wasn't sealed, and some of the shilajit resin had covered part of the screw top. I'd expected a consumable like this should have been factory sealed. The taste is unlike anything I've ever had. It is strong bitter, like a bitter coffee+earth+herb+tar taste. It tastes like ancient medicine. After a while I've grown accustomed to the smell and taste, not so bad once you get over the initial shock and accept it for what it is. This would mix well with coffee. The resin quality seems good, not diluted or mixed with additives. Mixes well with warm water.
